Decided to try breakfast at a place with “personality” and Miner’s Restaurant did not disappoint. Where else can you get a history lesson about local mining on the walls of the restaurant while enjoying a tasty meal.
We came on our last day of our cottage trip and wanted breakfast and we weren’t disappointed the food was quite good and the menu was easy to follow but we were mainly impressed by the kind service we got we were met with a smile and a welcome, our waitress was so sweet and fun to talk to and was very patient with us being indecisive about what we wanted to order and the fact that we were in such a large group was great. The food came out quick once we ordered and everything...

When we arrived, the woman at the counter didn’t acknowledge us. I said hello, and without looking up, she said, “You can sit wherever you want.” I asked if we could sit outside, and she rolled her eyes before saying “sure,” which didn’t feel welcoming.
