Absolutely terrible hamburger and fries. Not sure if they left cleaning chemicals on the grill but had an awful taste and left burned my mouth (not spice). Paid $45 for two inedible meals

Just got back from Florida on the weekend. Couldn't wait to try your new place out. Went for corn beef and cabbage. So disappointing. Little portions for the price,no butter, salt or pepper let a lone a slice of rye bread. Ice cold sent back still cold. Draft beer sat on bar for at least 20 min. and came to the table same time as food. Very poorly done. Don't think we'll be back anytime soon.

I have visited 2 times. First visit was for drinks only shortly after opening, 2nd was for takeout a few months later.
THE GOOD: Service 5/5 Service was good, staff was friendly and food and drinks were all served promptly. When we called about a problem with the food (missing items) the owner personally delivered them to our house. He didn't have to do that, but it was very much appreciated.
THE BAD: Food 2/5 Unfortunately the food was pretty bad. The burgers were severely overcooked, totally lacking in fat or condiments and just dry, dry, dry. Not sure if they were microwaved or put under a heat lamp but it was not good.
Chicken wrap was OK but there was only about 4 little pieces of what appeared to be popcorn chicken in the wrap which was disappointing because like the burgers, this was $20 so my expectations were much higher.
It's easier to improve quality than it is to drop prices but one or the other has to happen.
THE UGLY: Atmosphere 2.5/5 While I appreciate that the new owners have seriously cleaned and renovated what was otherwise a pretty run-down and dingy spot, I honestly can't understand what they were going for with this design. The black ceiling, white walls and scattershot lighting make the place feel both blindingly bright and dark and shadowy at the same time.
Everything is clean but there is really no soul which is such a shame because it's a very old historic building so classic pub vibes (brass taps, dark wood, etc) should have been obvious. It's nice they fixed the fireplace but it is just another example of a missed opportunity for some really great style as it sits blazing blankly from a white wall in the least social area of the building.
I'm a local and I'm really rooting for this place so I'm trying not to be harsh but it's a tough market out there and you can't afford to come up short. My suggestion would be to look to your main competition in the surrounding towns. There are several similar establishments that really nail the vibe and the food.
I know this is a new place with new owners still finding their footing so I will definitely give it another shot soon. I look forward to upgrading my review.
Parking: parking lot beside the building has ample room but can fill up on busy nights. Street parking is plentiful.

We visit quite often. Saturday's are the absolute best for karaoke! Their host is a lot of fun! Staff is super friendly. The food is fantastic, try the potato skins. We will definitely be returning customers for life. Thanks guys for the good times!
