I just had a veggie pesto wrap, at a glance everything seemed pricey. However as soon as I had the first bite, I was impressed. The shop has a little bit of everything & the service was super. Must visit.

While staying in Meaford we bought prepared food here multiple times. All the soups were delicious, vegetarian lasagna , chick pea curry were great. Staff was friendly … great food!

The food was excellent, the service was fast and friendly. We got four sandwiches and two soups and everything was delicious. Half a star off for the size of the soups, they were on the small side. Another half star off for the price, it seemed a little on the expensive side.

We went to The Kitchen for a quick coffee and noticed the cakes in the fridge. I'm 70, so my eyes are not great and there were no prices listed on or around the fridge (or on the little jams and condiments also sold there, so watch out). We picked up a cake and brought it to the counter to ask the price. Before we could get a quote, the cake was rung up, and we didn't like to say we weren't that interested. It was $30. The cake was not special in any way. Nor was it large, just enough to split into 4 or 5 portions. Not only that, the coffee was weak and barely drinkable. (We also had a cookie and butter tart, both fair to average, so no quibbles there.) I'm all for supporting small business, which is why we stopped here and not down the road at Timmy's, but we really felt exploited here.
