Stopped in after golf …. waitresses were great, friendly and efficient, but was really disappointed in the food… it was mediocre at best but was extremely overpriced… we are aware restaurant prices have gone up but this was the highest priced menu we have seen in awhile… do not recommend

Inconsistent crispy chicken sandwich. One week it’ll be drenched in hot sauce/soggy and the next week it’ll be a yummy nice crispy chicken cutlet. Unsure why it’s like this. I miss the way they used to make it without the drenching in hot sauce. I’ve been ordering this sandwich for years and only recently it’s gross and inedible. This is unfortunate because it was a really good dish. But I won’t be taking anymore chances on it.

We had our first experience at The Stable Restaurant in Metcalfe and it was fabulous - delicious and the server Evalyn was the most pleasant server ever! We had the very tasty homemade lasagne and the very rich and creamy fettucini with the garden salad with homemade ranch dressing and garlic toast - so yummy. We enjoyed this wonderful dinner with a glass of rose wine and a Rickard's Red draught beer. We capped this amazing meal off with their home made lemon mirengue pie and we both agreed it was the best lemon meringue pie ever - compliments to the chef and or baker. Even the decaf coffee was flavourful. If we could, we would give this little gem Restaurant a 10 star rating on all facets of a quality restaurant which is convenient, affordable, delicious with top quality client service. The owner should be very proud of this top notch establishment. We will definitely be new regular patrons at The Stable!! Wondering when they will make their famous Lemon Meringue Pie as they haven’t had it for awhile???

Nice surprise to find in Metcalfe. Clean with friendly staff and good food. All three of us enjoyed our meals as well as the coffee and dessert, we would return. The only minor downside was it was loud but once the lunch crowd died down it was totally fine.

Small town feel to the atmosphere which I personally like. Pancakes and breakfast in general is delicious. Love one waitress more than the other. The blonde waitress I would give 5 stars too but the other I would give 2 which is why I gave it a 4.
