Went to the Midland location, they never have enough staff working. Took over 40 minutes from waiting at the speaker box to place our order to getting order and driving away. No one was wprkong drive thru, they were more focused on storefront.
Saw and heard one of the staff members say they can't take anymore orders because they only have 2 people working for the next hour.

The service at this location has gone downhill over the last year. Wait times have increased and getting what you ordered seems to be the exception rather than the norm. The wait in the drive-through today was particularly bad. Over half an hour, and I was only the third car back. I ordered 2 uncle combos no tomatoes and a buddy combo. It took so long that when I finally got the food I had to skedaddle, only to find the uncles had come with tomatoes on both but fries with neither. "First-world-problems", I know, but in a society where most fast food restaurants seem to have a handle on timely, reliable service, the deficiency of this one stands out enough to be worth calling out.

Worst restaurant in Midland waiting 20 mins at the speaker no one ever answered waiting over 30 just to get through the drive through. Avoid this place if you can!!

The guy behind the counter was not pleasant when we asked for ketchup he didn’t replace the bag he just squeezed the old bag and we got watery ketchup when I asked him to replace the bag he sighed and made it seem I was asking for something unreasonable just an fyi that’s his job..

We went in the drive-thru yesterday (December 28th around 2:00 pm for a quick burger. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich which she enjoyed. I ordered a Mama Burger with no tomato. paid for the order and parked in the lot as we had running around to do. I took one bite of my burger and it had no condiments at all ... I returned it to the restaurant. Staff was apologetic although I had to hear they were three staff short and I understand. There was nobody else in the restaurant and the girl working the counter went back to make my burger. she handed the burger to me and I returned to the vehicle. I took one bit and had ketchup and mayo all over my coat and pants .... there was at least three times the condiments on the burger. I was not happy to say the least. Had to return home to change before continuing our errands. If you aren't the cook, stay on the counter. Also, my burger was $7.29 and as we left the parking lot, we noticed a sign the Mama Combo was $7.59 (or within twenty cents). A good customer service person would have suggested the upsell. I won't be in any hurry to return to A & W.

There should be a manager working. Hundreds of dollars of food going in the trash in just 1 hour of wating for my fries and a buddy burger. I watched the employee refund 4 people, after doing so, he than asked everyone in the room who wanted a refund next. They were refunding so much the machine was no longer refunding the cards.

I've never seen a fast food place so unorganized and disgusting as what I witnessed tonight. This restaurant would be a perfect candidate for the show BAR RESCUE! Workers arguing with each other. Front staff and back staff going at each other. Food all over the place . Nobody washing their hands. Handing out refunds left and right. The entire dine-in waiting 40 mins for their food. After waiting 40 minutes for teen burger combo I refused my order due to the worker grabbing a dirty rag he was wiping the tables down with than grabbed my food with his dripping wet dirty rag hands . What I witnessed makes me nauseous. I'm sure there will be multiple bad reviews about tonight. They owe me a refund because the machine wasn't working properly I left with no food and no refund. Something serious needs to be done I don't think I will go into any fast food restaurants for a long time now

We ordered our food, but we were disappointed that they were out of onion rings and ice for our drinks. The order came and one of the burgers was the wrong type of burger that was ordered. So I brought it back to the counter and the manager proceeded to remove lettuce, tomato and onions that were melted into the cheese, by HAND with NO GLOVES. Tried to give it back to me but I refused to accept that as I was watching her do this. I asked for my money back and tried to give them 5 cents to round out the rebate to $10.00, but they wouldn't take it and proceeded to give me $9.95 back in change instead. No gloves or hairnets were worn by an unfriendly staff. Disgusting experience and we will never dine there again.
