Most bland, tasteless Chinese food I've ever had in Ontario. Extremely overdone with the coating on both the shrimp and chicken balls, and the beef almond tasted like pork. Not sure what beef is light beige in colour. Also, overpriced for a dinner of 4, almost $100 with taxes. Not recommended at all.

Visited for the first time in their new location, and the first time in years, while visiting family over the holidays. We were welcomed warmly, and there were a steady stream of other diners and takeout pickups even though the weather was awful, so this place clearly still is a popular fixture in the area. We had spring rolls, including another takeout add on on our way out, general tao, veg fried rice, and chicken pad Thai, all of which had massive portions, delicious, and gave us enough leftovers for a second full meal. We live in the city, so there is no shortage of this type of Chinese restaurants, and the difference was material from what we see day to day. No unnatural psychedelic colors to be found, the chicken was plentiful (and all breast meat!), everything had lots of flavour, and the general Yao breading was light, not overpowering or used to hide the lack of actual chicken you may see elsewhere. Overall, the staff and service were great, the food was good, and overall a good value for what we ordered. Will absolutely visit again next time we're in the area.

Blue Garden Restaurant was amazing! The Tom Yum soup was bright, fragrant, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. The shrimp lo mein was loaded with fresh veggies and perfectly cooked shrimp, with noodles that were soft but not mushy. Everything tasted so fresh and flavourful. I’ll definitely be back!
