Double Happiness Chinese Restaurant

Food was marginally good. 1 of 3 chicken balls was inedible, the others were mostly dough. The egg roll was gross and the majority of the dish as rice that was pretty good. The service as friendly. Dining in is with paper plates and plastic cutlery, really weird. Food is delivered to your table in takeout container, in a bag, and drinks come in cans with no glass. Why go out? Their electronic payment system prompts you for a tip. Seriously?

What a terrible experience we had. I basically felt ripped off. We were looking for Chinese food and a place to sit down to enjoy a meal. A google search found this place so we drove from Elmvale. Entering the restaurant a young guy looked put out having to even talk to us. He said there was no in house service. He told us it was only take out but we could use our take out and sit down. The actual restaurant looked more like the tables and chairs were in a storage unit. We were the only people in the place. We placed a very expensive "take out" order and took a seat. The actual restaurant portion, near cash and kitchen, looked more of a place for the employees to just hang out where we had to listen to teen high school convos like they were alone. We were told food would be 20-30 minutes but after 45 minutes we decided to go up to the counter and ask about our order. It was sitting on a "take-out" table getting cold. Once we opened up the bag the food was about a 2 out of 10 in quality. It was made more difficult to eat when somebody started vacuuming. This looked like it was disrupted from Covid but never bothered to rebuild. There is so many problems with this place which needs somebody in charge to make things right. It's too bad but we will never return.

Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls where the worst I ever had in my life. Meat was dried out, breading did not stick to meat when cutting. The fried rice was good, the chicken vegetable & almonds were excellent. Egg rolls only so so. It was take out, but that shouldn't matter. Very disappointed. We ate there a few years ago and everything was great. What is wrong?

Delicious food which we devoured and didn’t have time to photograph so that’s always a good sign! Their chicken balls are high quality, I think it’s straight up lean chicken breast which really surprised me. Portions were huge so our $50 takeout for 3 stretched to 2 meals. If we’re ever back in Midland (it could happen!) then we’ll be back for more of this food for sure.

Went fir lunch special. One special and it wasn't a special it was one cent off regular price.. food was okay. The restaurant itself is not what it use to be. Half tables are gone. Tables are dirty sticky. Flys in restaurant. Had to wipe dirt amd dust off booster chair. Asked fir glass of water got a bottle of water and was charged for it. Served in take put containers with plastic forks. Very disappointed .

Worst Chinese meal I have ever had. Should have left as soon as we were told was take out only but we could order and eat inside with plastic utensils. We order and took back to room less than 5 min away. Soup had no flavour, broccoli was not cooked. Lemon chicken looked like a piece of fish and could not cut with plastic knife. Chicken balls were hard on outside and doughy inside. Would not advise eating there.
