We’ve now been back three times to Jay’s Diner, and the experience has been consistently great every single visit. The food is always delicious and the service is warm and welcoming. What really stands out is how hands-on the owner is - cooking and serving guests with a genuine smile. You can really feel the care and passion for the place. The ambiance is calm, very clean, and comfortable. Even the washroom was spotless (as observed by my husband!). Prices are just right and the portions are satisfying. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place with great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Funny little note: when i brought the menu paper home, my dog kept sniffing it like it smelled amazing. Don’t worry - dogs aren’t allowed in the restaurant, but apparently the delicious food smell travels home!

Always loved Burger Barr when I was younger, as I grew up just down the street. Was feeling nostalgic so I ordered 2 chicken burgers and a medium poutine for my girlfriend and I to split. Tasted exactly how I remembered and satisfied my craving. Will be back for sure!

A charming pragmatic tasty stop that was delightful. It is plain and practical and clean. We are out-of -towners and I would recommend this place and come back again. We had a Ruben that was great, bacon cheeseburger that was lovely, great bacon, and the roast beef poutine. There are plenty of options that are prepared with care and intention.
