Stopped in on Saturday while passing through town. The food was not very good. After waiting 45 minutes to receive our food. We were the only people there. The food portions were large but I got the chicken parm special and it had no flavor, the noodle were under cooked and somthing was off about the chicken. My partner got the smash burger and he said it just tasted like grease. The burger had a sauce but he said he didn't really taste anything and was over cooked. We both didn't finish our meals and that is not like us. Lastly we got pop to drink and our glasses were disgustingly dirty. Again I'm not usually a very picky person, but I thought this deserved a review.

Stopped in on a Monday evening. Trivia was happening and the atmosphere was great for a community-focused spot. I order the Yorkshire pudding on the recommendation of the bartender. It was excellent - like worth stopping in to eat. And the portion was actually gigantic. Worth a visit for the Yorkshire pudding.

Food was delicious.
People at our table had to wait for drinks often, or more money would have been spent.
Lots of whimsical signs around, made me smile..

We were looking for a last minute dining option for 8 people and the Appalachian came through (as usual). The food is always excellent, Shelly is an outrageously amazing host, and the atmosphere is always fantastic. The live music was the added touch to an awesome evening.

Found this place on the GPS, and came with an appetite. It does not disappoint! Ordered a Ruben sandwich, the food was fresh and very tasty. It's pub grub but well prepared.
Good rock and roll soundtrack in the background, which is excellent for the appetite.

Food, service, and general atmosphere is great! The music can sometimes be a little loud in the evenings due to the size of the establishment, but if you know that going in, then all is good. 👍

If you’re looking for that classic pub experience — the kind where everyone feels like an old friend and your burger tastes like it was made with a little extra love (and maybe a secret handshake) — then Appalachian Pub & Eatery should be your next stop. Tucked in the heart of Georgetown, this spot does more than just serve food. It serves mood.

Let’s talk about the staff: friendly in that “how’s-your-mom-doing?” kind of way. The kind of folks who can turn a rough day into a good one with a smile and maybe a second round. The food? Fairly priced and downright excellent. The burgers are top-notch — juicy, well-built, and absolutely no soggy-bottoms in sight. But here’s the real kicker: the secret isn’t in the sauce. It’s in the live music.

When this place comes alive at night, it really comes alive. The energy shifts, the guitars come out, the lights dim just enough, and suddenly you’re transported — not too far, mind you, but just enough to remember what a good night at the pub feels like. You don’t just eat here. You hang. You vibe. You might even dance (no promises on rhythm). And the best part? The quality doesn’t drop when the amps go up. The kitchen still rocks it, and the servers don’t miss a beat.

So if you're craving great food, better people, and the kind of live music that makes you forget what time it is, Appalachian delivers. It’s not just a pub — it’s a place you’ll want to come back to before the night’s even over.
