Cafe Zauq Takeout & Catering

I visited Café Zouq in Milton expecting authentic biryani, but what I got was an absolute disaster. This was NOT biryani! They served plain, flavorless rice with chicken curry dumped on top—completely misleading and a disgrace to what biryani should be.

The dish lacked the rich aroma, spices, and layering that defines biryani. Instead, it felt like a lazy attempt to trick customers. It was tasteless, uninspired, and certainly not worth the price.

Save your money and avoid Café Zouq Milton. If you’re looking for real biryani, this is NOT the place to go. Highly disappointed.

Cafe Zain has revamped their food presentation, taste and choices after 10+ years in Milton
They have consistent quality food - like Biryani, Nihari, Tandoori Roti and Lollipop Chicken

Before the quality would suffer in the weekends due to high intake of orders, but now I find the taste quite consistent. My faith in this restaurant is restored and I’m a satisfied returning customer again

I am a regular takeout customer of cafe zauq. They probably have one of the best food in milton. Have tried multiple items from here and never had any complaints. Recently ordered the 100 ppl catering. Food was delicious and quality was also very good. Would definitely recommend this place for catering services as well along with there takeout service

We ordered Chicken Biryani, Chicken Karahi, Chicken Kababs, Channa Masala, Naans, Raita, Salad and Kheer for 30 persons/guests invited at dinner party at our home in Waterloo ON. Food was delivered as per committed time and the delivery person was really gentleman and professional. All food items were very tasty and every guest was asking from where you people ordered the food. We told them about the Zauq Restaurant and Catering Milton. Honest to God 10 out of 10 marks. At the last, we would also like to thanks to Jaspreet Kaur who serves at Zauq for her nice and kind behaviour. Recommended for Catering

I recently tried Café Zauq's veal and chicken biryani, but unfortunately, both fell short of expectations. The veal biryani had very little actual meat, and the flavor was noticeably lacking. On top of that, they went overboard with the food coloring, which was a bit off-putting. The chicken biryani didn't fare much better, missing the depth of flavor you'd hope for in a good biryani.

That said, the atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent, and the takeout packaging was well done. I genuinely hope they take a moment to review their recipes and refocus on delivering the rich flavors that make biryani so beloved. There's definitely potential here, and I’d love to see them rise to it.
