I usually get my sourdough bread from La Rose bakery on Bronte. Yesterday, I wanted to try a closer outlet that happened to be Cobs. My choice was Sourdough Sunflower Flax Loaf. In 2023, we’ve tried the regular (white) sourdough but never been a fan. It was so condensed. So, yesterday wanted to try this Sunflower bread. I was shocked by the inflated price: $7.25. Would someone tell me why this is expensive? Is it made of specialty water? Is it made of imported ingredients? Or just taking advantage of the surrounding demographic population in our community? To the franchise/ owner.. just visit other bakeries and fix your inflated breads’ prices. As a community, we shouldn’t let this happen. Talk to the manager, the franchisee, the chain of COBS stores to voice your concern like me, or say something. Bread is food for so many people, and prices shouldn’t be gauging. Are we soon going to see at this store bread being sold at $10.00 ?!?!?

I would have given 4-5 stars because the bread and pastries are great! And the ppl that work there are super nice. Place also looks clean and welcoming. However, the past few times I went, they haven't had the whole wheat loaf, which is what we usually get cuz its good and more affordable. They also tried to upsell me to get the $7-8 dollar bread. Even when I went early in the day they claimed it was sold out. This made me think that they're doing this on purpose to push the more expensive breads..which, they have a right to do as a business but I don't appreciate that as a customer. This is why we're rethinking coming here to buy bread. You would think they'd appreciate a regular customer and not get greedy. It's too bad.

Cobs Bread have amazing baked goods!! The breads is fresh, I love the country grain bread! Their pies, scones, cruffins are delicious, just the right sweetness, unlike the other Bakers that inject sugar in their goods.
All their goods are a must try, highly recommend!!

They stacked all your order on top of each other, and give delicate products in a transparent plastic bag. We have to keep reminding them to keep it separate. I wounder why are you saving cartoons!!!!!!
