Visited this Italian style food restaurant recently. It is a cozy place on Main Street, Milton. First, Italian food is a personal favorite. The food offerings were tasty and the portions generous. The service at this restaurant was good during our meal. The restaurant was busy and full...and good sign.

Large party for dinner tonight - 14 adults and 3 kids - great portions. Compliments to the chef and friendly staff.
Soup was tasty.
For appetizers, the calamari, sausage, and bruschetta were liked by all.
Mains included seafood pasta, lamb, veal parmigiana, spaghetti, & gnocchi. Kids had chicken and pasta. Desserts (sorbet, tartufo, and tiramisu) were enjoyed by all.
The only complaint was ventilation - very smokey in the restaurant - visually & olfactory.

We were a group of 7, went for dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday. The waitress was amazing, the food was great but the manager or owner (bald guy) was very rude! There was a long ginger hair under my mother's pasta before she started her meal, we asked if she could get it remade, that's all. We pulled the hair out infront of the waitress and she made us a new one. The owner/manager (bald guy) walked over and accused my mother that it was her hair (she has black/dark brown hair) instead of a simple sorry.
I didnt ask for anything for free, I didnt want anything for free but to embarrass my mother, who NEVER asks to return food and only did because it was under all her pasta is very rude. Stating all his staff and himself dont have that color hair, a lie as one ginger waitress left and returned after putting her hair up in a clip.
All he had to do was say sorry and problem solved. Accidents happen, but to accuse my mom in front of all the guests.... learn some customer service. You can learn some manners mr. Bald guy, we would have loved to come back but are very upset and didnt want to cut the cake at your restaurant.
I hope you read this and reflect on this, please be nice to your guests. We spent 400 after tip, the least you can do is treat your guests with respect.

- food was mediocre (spaghetti aioli) - we were not informed about a strict 1.5 hour time limit, either when making the reservation or at any time during our stay; then suddenly told we had five minutes left of our 1.5 hour limit and must leave so other reservations can come in. - will try a different restaurant next time
The lobster ravioli was out of this planet. I'll be back, 1000%. Divine.

We picked this place randomly on a google search and wow did we luck out! Got the Sausage & Ribs Gnocchi and it was delicious! Excellent service and a very cozy and inviting atmosphere. I will certainly be back here to try more of their dishes! We also tried the 10oz porterhouse steak and that was a hit. Bonus: they have gluten free and dairy free options, and it was equally as good!

We had an excellent experience at Locanda from start to finish! The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, the food was DELICIOUS (including the gluten free gnocchi! They also have several other GF options). Parmesan, black pepper, and spicy pepper oil drizzle were offered and added to our dishes at the table. We will definitely be back when we're in the area again.
