We enjoyed the experience at Mohawk. Only thing we had an issue with is the quantity of the food. We found a lot of food ran out early from buffet and was not replenished. Otherwise the experience was great and enjoyed the winter wonderland too at Mohawk with the kids
I'm super disappointed in our table placement. I had asked for a table by the window to be able to see. I know that “everything is done to accommodate requests but they are not guaranteed”, I fully understand because I have worked in the industry. But not only was NOTHING done, the table that we were sat at had a pole in front of it blocking a portion of the track. This was supposed to be a festive date night out that turned into a huge disappointment. When I consider what I paid for the experience, I certainly wouldn't be making any recommendations to go there again.
Buffet Food was cold and dry. Not worth the money. Too bad because the buffet at Mohawk used to be so great. Was very disappointed this time.
I was really disappointed with this buffet experience. For starters, the fact that you have to prepay just to reserve a spot is honestly ridiculous. At $60 per person, I expected a much higher-quality meal, but it definitely wasn't worth the cost. Despite the Italian theme, the buffet leaned heavily on carbs with very limited protein options—pretty much just cod or chicken. The desserts were also not fresh, which was another letdown. Overall, the experience did not live up to the price or the hype. I wouldn't return and certainly wouldn't recommend the buffet in its current state.
Italian buffet was fine with good selection however not sure it was worth the 60/pp plus plus. Had to prepay when booked through OpenTable but they had no clue and billed us again. Need to coordinate that a little better. Not real busy for Friday night so not sure if that is the buffet or people not interested in the racing.
Our Server was a very polite, young man with exceptional customer service. The food was lovely but the size of the wine by glass was small.
Not a great experience. Manager who doesn't know what is going on and waitstaff who seem distracted and not attentive. Used to be such a great place!
Had a good time watching the ponies Our waitress was very good 👍 As always, it's a good place for an evening out.
Food was not good, not fresh and no taste. Servers were non existent and overall we did not have a great experience. They took some $ off the bill but I shouldn't have to pay for awful food. We had to eat dinner elsewhere. Will not return! Of note our waitress was sympathetic to our situation but still not happy with our experience at all!
We have dined here many times and we were deeply disappointed with the quality of the food! Firstly, we ordered the charcuterie tray, it arrived without the crackers. We had to ask for them, which took a little bit before they arrived. For the main course, we both ordered the pappardelle pasta with added shrimps. The shrimps were overcooked and quite small, only 4. The garlic bread on one of the orders, was burnt and inedible. The pasta on one of the orders had NO or very little sauce on it. The other order of pasta had a lot of sauce, so we kind of mixed the two together to get some flavour into the one order without any sauce. Very inferior quality of food!!

The view to the racetrack was excellent. I go there for the races, the food etc. is secondary.
Food and service was excellent. The table we had was disappointing. We had a restricted view of the track. Would not want table 201 again. As an owner of a Metro Pace horse would have expected better seating.
Was an amazing experience. The food was top-notch waitress was amazing. We will come back really enjoyed the evening.
Enjoyed an evening at the races for the first time in years. The dining room seating was as expected, close to the finish line and with an excellent view of the action. Our server was new - by her own admission - but enthusiastic and pleasant. The food was a serious disappointment. We ordered the dip platter for a party of 4, which came as 4 generous smears of dip on a platter with 4 smallish pieces of toasted focaccia for dipping - needless to say more bread was needed, and it took a good while to arrive. The dips themselves were quite tasty, excepting the guacamole-esque dip which was a pass for our party. Our mains varied - the beyond meat burger and harvest burger were passable, the mesquite chicken was quite nice and generously portioned. The Organic fish and chips looked and tasted like it had come straight out of the Captain Highliner box and was accompanied by some very dry coleslaw, making the chip part of the meal the actual highlight. Our meals also varied greatly in temperature, indicating that most everything but the chicken had spent a good deal of time under the warming light. Cocktails were generally very tasty and a decent value for your money, but the beer selection was very poor and ridiculously priced. We didn't attempt dessert. Would return for the races, but likely not for this particular dining option.
