Portabello's Italian Bistro

Just had lunch at this restaurant. To say my friends and I are disappointed is an understatement. It’s a quiet Thursday afternoon with only 4 other people in the restaurant yet the service was super slow! The older gentleman that served us barely understood or spoke English and we had to keep repeating ourselves. (Scary when two of us have food allergies) The music was so loud we had to scream to hear each other - asked to have it lowered but never was. Not an atmosphere you are looking for at lunch time! The food was nothing extraordinary, my chicken parm panini was burnt! Hard to eat so I removed the bread. Our drink orders were all wrong and at the end we got served cold coffee. Needless to say we won’t ever be returning! Go elsewhere.

My partner and I felt really uncomfortable as the service felt discriminatory like some of the other reviews say. I remember the older server dropping his smile as soon as we got his attention for the bill, while moments before he was smiling and welcoming towards what seemed like regulars or family. The customer service was cold and unwelcoming. Food was good but wouldn’t come again because it was just an uncomfortable atmosphere.

you charge a lot and give little, big rip off, only the plate is big ,not the food you put in it

We went to Portabello's randomly after my friend was just moving into the neighbourhood. To explore the area, we decided to try this cute little Italian Bistro and we were pleasantly surprised! We went on a weekday afternoon when it was quieter and the service was very good.
Carlos was kind and sweet.

The food is nice and filling and the Pasta was awesome! Definitely my favourite would be the Pasta while my friend said she loved the Pizza more.

Would recommend this place for a little brunch date!

A cute gem nestled in Milton! The Italian food here is fantastic with great service to match. Absolutely loved the Greek pizza and the linguine Alfredo—both were delicious. Definitely worth a visit

We celebrated our son’s 30th here and had an amazing experience. Chad was an outstanding server—friendly, attentive, and made the night special. The food was delicious, generous in portions, and reasonably priced. The warm welcome at the front and their thoughtful touch of storing our cake until we were ready made it a perfect evening. Highly recommend!

I am from Belleville, Ontario and have had food from here before when I came down to visit family, Caesar salad to be specific. It was absolutely delicious because the dressing was authentic. I was so excited to go back again and have a Caesar salad. We ordered a bunch of stuff, spaghetti, crab cakes etc and picked it up this time and brought it home. When we received the order there was no dressing on the salad so I had to go back and pick it up. When I tasted the dressing it was bottled and I was so disappointed. I was looking so forward to having this Caesar salad for days. For the cost that I paid for this caesar salad, which was VERY expensive, I didn't mind paying because I thought it was going to be the same as I had had it before, was way to expensive. I hope you change back to the original dressing. If you do I would be happy to return for meal.

I haven’t been to Portabello’s in a while remembering it as a great place; took my kids in.
The service was just garbage, the waitress was interested in the big group that she had rather than us.
We ordered drinks, came literally flat water than after reminding the waitress by the end of the meals… she brought replacement drinks
Pasta was served and no cheese was offered until we asked for it.
Everything had to be asked for, and not once were we asked if everything is ok and etc

Might think twice next time before coming there.
