The waitress was overwhelmed even tho there wasnt any one in the restaurant. My nephew ordered a poutine and when it came it only had three cheese curds in it. My brothers burger was so small we couldnt find the patty under the hunk of lettuce. My cold soup arrived after i finished my meal.my neices fish was overcooked. They then proceeded to charge me 70 bucks for a hunk of garbage they called food!!! Never going back again!!!! Im seriously rethinking going to the island in the winter!!!Parking: Park in front of the restaurand and take your changes on getting hit

Tiny looking from the outside but opens up inside, not alot of parking but street parking seems to be allowed. Renowned for their apple fritters, must call in your order prior from 6 - 7 a.m.- well worth the lack of sleep lol.Went back again for dinner - great home cooking & pizzas - super spot!!

WOWZERS! The food is great! This is our second visit on the island and our second visit at MUM’s. Always busy so that’s a good sign. Breakfast was really plentiful and hot. The apple fritters are HUGE! And decadent! We always buy a loaf of bread too. Do yourself a favour and eat there.

Please Do Not go here if rudeness and disrespect are your pet peeve. I wish business owners in tourist destinations understood that people visiting are often looking for a good time and memorable happy experiences, a visit to Mum’s Bakery added a bad experience for us. Horrible service - the server was running out of patience. She was patronising, expected us to be quick, like skim through the menu and know what you want, not that the options were too many, but we wanted to take time and decide what to order. 30 seconds in and she seem to have a problem with us asking for a moment to place an order. She told us to put the menu down once we have decided, when we decided and put the menu down she looked over to our table and did not take our order. The place was not busy at all, she was busy chatting with someone else but serving us and enjoying a tip (which is customary when we eat out) definitely made her day, while she choose to treat us horribly, huff and puff, and just simple patronising. One might have had a bad day, rubbing it on people who bring you income is just not worth it. When one is in a customer facing business, I wonder how do people (like the server in this case) feel about being nice. We did not plan to visit a rude restaurant by choice.
Best pastries around I literally love coming to Manitoulin Island just to come here LOL. Any of the pies are superb my favorite is the strawberry rhubarb which is usually sold out pretty

enjoyed our dinners (fish and roast beef) and beer, very good sized portions , good menu selection, higher end of prices for dinners , great bake shop and selections , friendly staff , family friendly, limited parking and "fairly"

My husband and I came here for breakfast, while visiting Manitoulin Island. The food was so yummy, especially the pancakes and the staff were so friendly. We cannot wait to visit again!

I think this is the only restaurant in Manitoulin who served proper breakfast menu. We stayed 2days and both days we did breakfast here. We ordered eggs with toast and pancakes along with coffee. Coffee will be refilled. I also tried their broccoli soup and loved it. Overall a good experience.
