“Went to Marks for lunch today. Was in Minden and asked locals for restaurant suggestions. All spoke very highly of Marks Chinese restaurant.
Outside is dated, boring and really not very inviting. I never would have stopped there if I was driving by. Inside main part was dated but nice. Waited for a waitress to seat us as she was attending to a seniors group that goes there every month.
Waitress seated us and brought menus and asked about drinks. She was very nice and we asked for recommendations since we were first timers. She was lovely to deal with. Attentive and gave us her best choices.
Food was excellent! From shrimp tempura to the wings to the chicken balls, everything was hot, home made and very good.
I would highly recommend Marks for anyone looking for Chinese food meal. Really good.
Yes the decor is old and worn out and really needs a facelift. Actually, it needed a facelift likely 10 years ago. lol
We will definitely be back again whether for takeout or to eat there. We passes a few Chinese restaurants on our drive from Fenelon Falls and would do it again!”

“Chip truck open Friday, Saturday and Sunday...seasonal. Large fresh cut fries, burgers, sausage, chicken and fish, poutine, pull pork and more. Great people, good portions, standard prices. Outside picnic tables. They are starting to try some breakfast options and coffee

Dietary restrictions: They use peanut oil. My niece has a peanut allergy but loved the fries with no reaction. We had the epipen ready.”

“Tonight (Sunday) my family stopped in at Subway around 6:30pm. The lineup was long and people continually came in. I have to share how impressed I was with the staff. Despite dealing with an endless line, they were friendly, efficient, and you could see how they worked as a team helping each other out. Also want to applaud the owner for ensuring his store was well staffed-there were 4 employees working. Keep it up!”

“In response to bad reviews today, we need to practice compassion, not everyday is a good day. This establishment is superior in every way. As a local, we have been through a difficult winter, a devastating ice storm and the challenges have been tremendous. Matt and Deb and multitudes of people donate time and money to this community. Maybe once in a while something bigger happens, and things aren't the way they should be...maybe a question about why would have rectified this moment of feeling neglected. “Glad they've opened up again in Minden. Pizza is excellent. I ordered online and noticed that the format has changed. I was unable to indicate a time for pickup as I was able to in the past. Makes it more frustrating when I have to wait longer. It was nice to be able to order earlier in the day and indicate a time for pickup.”

“We always have a great experience at this diner. Breakfast entrées are always hot & yummy, great home fries & excellent eggs Benny. My husband tried the meatloaf with mashed potatoes very good. Exciting to see they have new specials occasionally. Good idea. We had Kyle for a server recently & he was funny & friendly. Great service. 😊”
