Kate’s Burger Counter

I had a cheese burger, 2 chicken cutlet sandwiches and a small poutine. This place beats out some of these franchise I have been to in the city. I like supporting the local places not only that Kate the owner of the fast food joint was kind enough to have a small conversation which was welcoming at the moment she was passing through. Overall the staff at the cashout takeout window was patient with me cause I was undecided on what to order considering it was my first time here.

This place is a hidden gem! It's a quaint little place just beside the lake, and worth the detour off the beaten path.

Always the first stop on our way into a cottage week!

Managed to catch lunch at Kate’s Burger Counter just before closing for the season. Able to enjoy amazing fall view from the dock and a great burger with fresh toppings, plus our first poutine, while visiting from US. Friendly visit with owner Tanya as well! Definitely recommend!!

Unfortunately I ordered a burger and fries and hands down this was the worst burger and fries I have ever had. The burger was stone cold and the fries were so dry and were fried at least three times over. I will definitely not eat here again and would not recommend it to anyone. The staff wasn’t great at all either not pleasant very rude.

Cute little spot for burgers/poutine and Kawarthas ice cream. Their chicken burgers are ??They've got a couple of parking spots for your boat/water craft too!

If you have not already experienced Kate's Burger Counter, I highly recommend you get over there! Amazing food with a great view of the water. The fried chicken sandwich was incredible! Plus, Kate and all the staff are wonderful. :)

Really cute place. Burgers are amazing. Service was great. Loved the place to sit near the water to enjoy our food. Went back for seconds! Cute ice cream bar too. Would recommend and will definitely be going back.

Just the best double cheese burger I've ever had. No exaggeration, in 50 + years, I've eaten more than afew burgers. This was the best.
