Went to Marks for lunch today. Was in Minden and asked locals for restaurant suggestions. All spoke very highly of Marks Chinese restaurant.
Outside is dated, boring and really not very inviting. I never would have stopped there if I was driving by. Inside main part was dated but nice. Waited for a waitress to seat us as she was attending to a seniors group that goes there every month.
Waitress seated us and brought menus and asked about drinks. She was very nice and we asked for recommendations since we were first timers. She was lovely to deal with. Attentive and gave us her best choices.
Food was excellent! From shrimp tempura to the wings to the chicken balls, everything was hot, home made and very good.
I would highly recommend Marks for anyone looking for Chinese food meal. Really good.
Yes the decor is old and worn out and really needs a facelift. Actually, it needed a facelift likely 10 years ago. lol
We will definitely be back again whether for takeout or to eat there. We passes a few Chinese restaurants on our drive from Fenelon Falls and would do it again!

Food sucks tbh I'd never recommend this
Service was nice, and the food tasted okay but it was horribly oily. Chinese cuisine uses a fair amount of oil, but this was just too much

Excellent service. However no taste or seasonings. Noodles for Mandarin Cantonese used was Ramon noodles; hard and crunchy. Beef with veggies tasted bland. Tiny pieces of carrots/ celery. It looked like a salad with boiled beef. Again no spice of ginger or garlic. Very very bland! Good if you have a Gaul bladder issue. Food was hot but not your real Chinese cuisine!
Generous portions and tasty food - and this is coming from someone who's father owned a Chinese Food restaurant himself

Fabulous small town Chinese restaurant.Very clean inside!Great waitstaff as well enjoyed the food very much.We all like spicier food but it would be unfair to comment on that. Most people would not like spicy food.We will be back!Keep up the great work!Thank you for excellent service as well

I’m pretty picky about Chinese food and Mark’s did not disappoint. Food was very fresh and delicious. Staff was friendly. Portions were large! Would highly recommend. We will be back Christmas Eve for another order!
Went there for a Community Seniors Luncheon. A lovely buffet of delicious Chinese favourites was served and the group of @30 was treated very well by the waitstaff and owners of Mark's. Be back next month! Thank you.
