My favorite Cafe along the Highway 35, the food is always worth trying, they have lots of items to choose from, all day breakfast is my favorite ☺️☺️, pulled pork quesadilla ? , the staff are friendly and quick to serve, if you ever go along that way, don't forget to stop by.

Our party of 8 needed to be at work at 11 am. Arrived at the Minden 50s Diner at 9:30 am. Two tables were already occupied. Was served coffee within 10 minutes. The 2 tables quickly emptied and more tables filled. Waitress didn’t take our orders till around 10 am. Other people who arrived after us were served and had left while we patiently waited for our food. At 10:30 summoned the waitress and reminded her that we needed our meals because we need to be at work at 11. She snapped, “Can’t you see the place is full?” It clearly wasn’t full when we arrived a full hour earlier. Our meals were served by a different waitress at 10:40. See pic of overcooked Classic Breakfast they brought me. The dark lumps are supposed to be home fries. Most of our group ended up having to take theirs to go. I ran out of time and took my bacon with me in a napkin. The whole experience was truly awful. I would work on an empty stomach before going back.

We were looking forward to having a burger having never been here before. Upon entry there was a heavy smell of grease, old grease, reminiscent of carnival food fare. We grabbed menus, sat down, ordered drinks , 1 ginger ale and one coffee and perused the menu, having decided on which burger to get we’re ready to place the our order. That went sideways really fast, the waitress said they had no beef!?how a restaurant who’s main fare is burgers, runs out of beef on a Friday afternoon is beyond me. We weren’t prepared to order anything else so given I’d not opened the ginger ale I sent it back, we went to pay for the coffee and the waitress said no charge. They apologized for “forgetting” to order beef. You only get one chance to make a first impression and unfortunately this was an epic fail on their part but probably a blessing in disguise.

Great Atmosphere and very nice service, although the food left a little to be desired.-AKid-friendliness: It's got a good atmosphere for kids, and they have little TVs that your kiddo can enjoy while they eat.-A

I've been a couple of times now.. First for breakfast, yesterday for lunch. Both times were great experiences... I'm not looking for the Keg and a candlight dinner; looking for a quick bite. Breakfast was as I ordered and yesterday Fish and Chips was more than expected with slaw and lemon, (of which I didn't use either) but the Fish was superior... You can say, how can you go wrong with Fish and Chips... well, I can take you there, but would prefer to go to the Diner.. Tell them the "Supervisor" recommended it and they'll get you a great seat.. LOL (Inside joke)

I have an ingestion allergy to sesame seeds. Not a contact allergy. They refused to serve me a bun for my burger. Very snippy staff. Never in my life have I wanted to cancel an order and just leave.I do not recommend this establishment. The tvs were very cheesy. It's supposed to be A 50s diner ?Pancakes were raw.

This is the 4th time l have tried the 50s Diner , Frist time it was just ok,2nd time walked out, the food was awful. The 3rd time sent back for being cold. Today are food was cold.My daughter had 3 thick pancakes cold. My Wife had eggs Benedict was cold and she said the hollandaise sauce was congealed and wasn't good and l had to pull over for her to be sick on the way home. My omelet and home fries were cold. We only tried eating it because we where hungry. I'm all for keeping it local, we tried and will never be back

Absolutely worst experience of my life. Waitress was dry with us, no water, didn't ask how our food was during or after our meal. It took 45 minutes to get our food (eggs, and a burger) and it was cold and bland, served with no apology. And the best part, is there is no baby change table ANYWHERE in there. Waste of time and money. Owners need to get in there and give their heads a shake.
