Great place for an upscale meal in the Haliburton Highlands. Amazing wine selection. Rotating specials. Food was fresh and nicely plated. Service was good but could be more attentive.

Call and book a few days ahead! The dining room looks lovely with a view over water, but we wound up taking a spot in the hot and stuffy front enclosed porch wrapped in plastic with a crappy view of the rising parking lot. Our mistake for booking only 48hrs. ahead (first time so we didn't know the interior layout). The food was fine and cottager-pricey -- pork schnitzel was best. Savvy wine choices. Staff friendly and efficient.

Great ambience. A great dining spot where you can carry on a conversation. Ingredients are fresh and top tier. Excellent job from the bar with the drinks.

Execution on some basic aspects were a disappointment. Oysters were not shucked properly. You need to detach the oysters from the shell! Steak dinner that didn't come with a steak knife, despite the follow-ups. We asked for mayo, we got aioli sauce instead.

Chef Chris is the King of schnitzel & homemade mushroom sauce. The escargot appetizer was mind blowing, as was the pecan rum cake with gelato ice cream for dessert!

This place is an absolute gem. The wedge salad with the confit duck leg was absolutely perfect- the flavours completely complementary and everything if the highest quality, the duck confit leg was 5*. The lamb “starter” with the goat cheese terrine was delicious as well. My partner got a burger and the poutine, both excellent as well. The poutine gravy is very interesting- the mustard flavour again is very complimentary, showing the chef’s creativity. Love;y wait staff with a positive attitude. The portions are crazy big- was stuffed after the app and the second app. Glad I didn’t order a meal! Beware when ordering!

We have eaten here often. Tonight one part of my meal was cold and the other was piping hot. Every other time we have been here the food was really delicious. Tonight both my husband and I thought it was good, but not great. Hoping we have better luck next time.
