This restaurant was the highlight if our relaxing trip. The service and food was excellent. My husband couldn't stop raving about their beef tenderloin.

So disappointed with this experience. I honestly didn't think I needed to vet a restaurant at a JW hotel but I thought wrong. Here is the rundown of our order: - Homemade focaccia - dry and crumbly - Calamari & shrimp - spoiled shrimp (extremely fishy tasting) and so undercooked that the breading tasted like raw flour. (Complained and this was taken off the bill) - Rigatoni arrabbiata, add meatballs - overcooked pasta, not spicy whatsoever, tasted like tomato sauce with unseasoned pasta. Temperature was cold and had to be reheated by the kitchen. It also contained black olives which is atypical and not mentioned on the menu. Meatballs tasted like boiled, unsalted beef- horrible texture and taste. Truly awful. - Mushroom farfalle - overcooked and unseasoned pasta, everything else good. - Spaghetti carbonara - not carbonara, it's Alfredo. Also overcooked and under seasoned. - Seared scallops and side asparagus - scallop dish was good taste-wise, but also wasn't served hot. The one and only thing they did right was the asparagus. Tender-crisp, hot, and well-seasoned. - Tiramisu - complimentary for birthday celebration. Definitely not authentic you can hardly call it tiramisu besides the layering look to it. Very faint coffee taste and some weird jelly texture at the very bottom. No lady fingers. Overall, this was truly pathetic food, especially for the price paid. Extremely amateur menu to begin with, and not even well-executed. Like literally I think they must be allergic to aromatics in there. Didn't even smell like garlic or onion in an Italian restaurant. A worker in the lobby asked how our dinner was and I said it was “okay”, she offered her sympathies but nothing else. Service was also slow. Our server was nice and attentive to the complaint and the ambiance was nice. Comfy seating and good lighting. But the food was a sorry 1/10 and I would never go back.

Deconstructed lobster ravioli was delicious as was the Chianti wine. Excellent service including accommodating allergies. Appetizer selection was a bit limited and some of the mains were priced on the high end. Desserts were great

If you want a tremendous dinning experience I recommend this restaurant.our service was knowledgeable easy to talk to and made our evening very enjoyable I know name started with S The greeter was also super and the food was outstanding Nothing was to hard we had a person that has gluten at our table and the staff went above and beyond to make sure her dinning experience was great

A pleasant surprise . Enjoyable experience. The sommelier was extremely approachable and made excellent recommendations on our wine and dinner pairing . Shoutout to chefs.

Not a vegetable in sight. Staff tried hard and service was good. Unfortunately, while the food was a good quality the portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price. $42 (before tax) for a small piece of salmon and some piped potato is disappointing. The Cottages restaurant next door provided better value for money with larger portions and equally good quality.

We had a wonderful few days at JW Rousseau, but this was the low point. The food was great, but the service was not up to the standards of a hotel of this calibre. The server seemed distracted and rushed - as if something else was preoccupying him. There were zero check-ins to ask about the food... none. Then the dessert menu was dropped off and he disappeared again. We were going to order coffee and dessert, but got tired of waiting and decided to settle the bill and leave. I think the rest of the servers were more on the ball and we may have caught our server on a bad day.

Customers with children had them running around and making noise. So much so that a couple near them left the restaurant. Our server was great!

The heirloom tomato with burrata appetizer was to die for. It melted in my mouth. And the seared scallops were delicious and perfectly prepared.
I will definitely come back and bring friends!

Limited menu - which isn't necessarily a problem if everything tastes yummy. Unfortunately, the food is just average (our lunch at Turtle Jacks was much better and a fifth of the price). The service was incredibly slooooooooooooowwwwwwwww despite it not being very busy. This kind of seemed to be the theme of our entire stay.
