Edit -Call before going ,We went on Sunday and whole place was booked for private party . Only take outs were allowed .There are very few restaurants which I think t go back but this one will be surely on that list !Authentic South Indian flavours .We tried•types fo Dosa - Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Ghee Paper Dosa and every dosa was tasty, crispy and come with amazing chutneys and obviously masala .• Gobhi 65, my favourite, exactly like what you get back in Hyderabad ( mild in taste )• Veg Thali - Papadam, rice, chana, sambar, pappu (dal), rasam (soup), radish chutney, gongura chutney, gulabjamun, roti, gun powder (dry chutney), ghee, etc. Amazing taste and authentic. Thali is unlimited except roti and gulabjamun• Filter Coffee .

Loved the food! I wouldn't say it's perfect Andhra food but it's definitely got few authentic Andhra items on the thali. The food was good quality as well. You don't feel trashed after having a full meal. You'll actually feel like you ate at home. So, I give full 5 stars for that specifically.

As a Canadian who has lived in Andhra for a number of years, I have been on the hunt for authentic South Indian food. I have tried many restaurants and didn't find authenticity until I had a thali from Andhra Mess. Everything was freshly made... Even the pickle. It was as they would say... Finger licking good.

If you are looking for place with a name that is Pun intended, AM is the place to go .This is their lunch deal .. served in 2 otherwise sides or sauce containers.. tasteless gravy. Chickpeas could have cooked a bit more. Lastly , not sure if that was a gravy or supposedly a soup .

After seeing 100s of videos on social media, we finally got to try this place. Didn’t have the appetite for a thali so tried the dum style chicken and mutton biryani and fish fry. Fish fry was amazing! Biryani was good too but nothing out of the ordinary. A bit on the spicier side.Definitely coming back to try the thali soon

If they cannot accommodate people they should inform. I called one hour back they said no reservations. When we entered and about to be seated the guy said its already for someone and they are in washroom.

Unassuming restaurant in a strip mall, with decent ambience. The music isn't too loud but like many Indian restaurants has a tv which tends to make guests stare at the dance moves from an Indian movie. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure there are diners who like that. Food wise, I had the thali, which means a huge plate with rice and chapati along with a bunch of side dishes. All vegetarian, no meat option for the thali, but if you prefer meat there are other options on the menu. You can ask for more rice and side dishes if needed, no extra cost. On the whole the food was more akin to a meal prepared at someone's home, it just had that taste about it. Which is a good thing for some and not for others, I don't really personally have a preference as long as it tastes good. And it tasted alright, nothing to write home about. The sambar and rasam were alright, but the veggies were flavorful and hearty and my favorite part of the meal. Definitely will be back if I'm craving a vegetarian thali.

Newly opened Andhra Mess is a restaurant you might miss, its location being inside a plaza, but it stands through taste. When my fam and I decided to eat some South Indian cuisine today, we were craving some Dosas. So we ordered Masala Dosas and I gotta say, this is honestly the best Masala Dosa I've had in a while. I've been to other South Indian restaurants in Mississauga (I've reviewed them too) and there's always been something I felt was missing. This Masala Dosa is exactly it.The Dosa itself was a nice blend of crispy and soft. The proportion of aloo sabzi (spiced potatoes) to Dosa was plenty and tasty. The sambar was out of this world, albeit you get small portions, but not worry just ask for more of no charge. (For now, we'll see when this place gets busier, which I see cause the food is banging). The chutneys provided with the meal were great, especially the Gunsmoke chutney.I had the Filter Coffee too, might I say, quite good compared to other places I've had Filter Coffee. All this said, the best I can say is the service. Our server Gitanjali was very accommodating and patient with our request. She was always near and asking if needed anything, getting our food quick while explaining the vegetarian options thoroughly.I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to try some amazing South Indian cuisine, specifically dosas!
