I’ve visited Arusuvai a few times and tried a variety of dishes, including Parotta-Salna, Chicken Biryani, Ambur Mutton Biryani, Crab, Chicken Kothu, and Kalakki. Here’s a breakdown of my experience:
Crab and Chicken Kothu: Both of these were excellent and stood out as highlights of the meal. The flavors were great, and I really enjoyed them.
Mutton Biryani and Kalakki: These were average in taste—nothing special. They were decent, but not something I’d return for.
Chicken Biryani and Parotta-Salna: Unfortunately, both of these were quite disappointing. The Chicken Biryani wasn’t fresh and tasted bland. The Parotta was hit or miss—good on one occasion, but not so great on others. The Salna that comes with the Parotta and Kothu needs a lot of improvement. The taste was off, and the texture was strange—like a turmeric-coconut mix that was semi-boiled, which completely overshadowed the taste of the Parotta.
The pricing for 2 Parottas with Salna is relatively high, especially given that the quality doesn’t justify the cost. The Salna, in particular, should be reworked to match the quality expected from the rest of the menu.
Suggestions: I noticed they have Idly-Chicken Curry and Dosa-Chicken Curry combos, which seem popular. I think they should offer a Parotta with Chicken Curry option, even if it's a few extra dollars.
Lastly, hygiene could use some attention. As a non-veg restaurant, they should ensure the wash basin is cleaned more frequently, and the hand towels should be checked and refilled regularly for customer convenience. Cleanliness in these areas would improve the overall dining experience.
Overall, while there are some good dishes, the quality and consistency don’t always meet the high prices. Customers expect better value for the cost, and there’s definitely room for improvement.

** Worst party order **
Do not book party order here. Waste of money. They say it’s quality and thats the reason for over priced then others but in reality it’s direct opposite.
Ordered large chicken biriyani- 150$ - this is much costlier compared to best authentic biriyani. Others 120$.
Chicken is hard and not all were leg pieces as promised. Too much spicy. Over ginger garlic flavor. Not liked by guests. Special day lunch spoiled by this store.
Gravy - is very spicy.
Large tray Chicken 65 - very hard. Kids didn’t like.
Kothu Parotta- spicy and kids did not touch.
Also, we ordered veg biriyani, paneer 65 - this is also not worth as priced.
Our Advice to avoid this store for large orders and save your money. Save your wonderful day by avoiding this place!!!!
Vegetarian options: Not tasty and hard appetizers
Kid-friendliness: Not at all kids friendly

Food here is good and it gives you that back-home feeling. They've kept the authentic taste just right. But, there are a few things they need to work on, like hygiene and the condition of the tables. There aren't many tables, so during weekends, we had to wait almost an hour. People serving the food and the cashier are nice.

Very good food
But there is not enough space for families to sit and enjoy the food. Better to order take away. Not enough car parking also.
Example-
When my family is eating in a table, next table folks can easily see what he eat and no privacy in seating at all.

The food and service is good. They do pull good Tamil tasting cuisine. The staff is quick and responsive.
The seating and area could be improved a lot as it’s pretty cramped up which is an issue unless you are just 2-3 people tops.
Otherwise one of the good Mississauga based Tamil Cuisine place.

I really love their food and hospitality but recently I have got Dindukal Mutton Briyani and Parotta Salna. The parotta was really good but the quantity of the mutton Briyani was low for the price and the mutton was little rubbery.

Amazing tamil restaurant. Taste and spicy levels are top notch. We tried madurai style items and it was wonderful! Definitely relaxed our taste buds.
The manager is kind and friendly and speaks tamil. Loved everything. The ambience was great, only thing I’d say is the shop is a little small with a few tables. However, the walls are decorated nicely and the tamil music gives a great feel. And easily commutable even through public transport, easily walkable distance from bus stop.
Loved overall.

I rarely give 5 stars to experiences but I can tell that this resurant is serious about food, atmosphere and presentation. This is a local family operated business.
First of all and to the point. The food is amazing. I Prefer to eat here in person when I have the time. The presentation of the food is fantastic using a thick thali dish which gives you plenty of room on your plate. The watering jugs are always there made of this copper type material that keeps the water cold and food warm.No filmsy cookware here guys!
The Dish itself (chicken biryani) was succulent chicken with perfect amount of infused spicies. Spicy but not too spicy for my palate but in all honesty I grew up eating south asian food due to my background. The dish was amazing. I kept coming back for more because at this price, the quality is unmatched around this entire block (maybe several more blocks).
While sitting here enjoying my chicken biryani I see the amazing traditional art on the walls, comfortable seating and chairs and decent lighting. Overall I really like the atmosphere. Room for improvement could be more plants and some dimmer lighting. What really stood out to me in terms of atmosphere was the handwashing station present which is accessible to everyone - Personally this is a much appreciated bonus and very unique.
The people who have served me have gone above and beyond. Amazing service. Keerhti was one of my servers and they were exceptional.
Having such a good experience with one dish I would like to try more of there food and post more reviews.
As customers I would like to remind everyone to support your local business by paying in cash. This helps the local business by not paying transactional fee to vendors you use to pay.
