We visited Beit Sitty yesterday to celebrate my mother’s birthday. First, I want to commend the food—it was delicious. We ordered the family platter, which included assorted meats, rice, two salads, and garlic potatoes. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared.
However, I feel the restaurant needs to address some important details, particularly customer service, if they aim to attract a broader clientele beyond Middle Eastern customers. While our waitress was friendly and attentive, the wait time between courses was quite long.
One major concern was the drinks. I ordered Coke Zero but was served a can of “Our Compliments” zero sugar cola, for which I was charged $3 per can. I ended up paying $6 for two cans of a store-brand soda. Most restaurants offer fountain drinks, which are refillable and feel more appropriate for the price.
The atmosphere was also an issue. The music was extremely loud, and we had to ask them to turn it down just to have a conversation. Guests typically come to a restaurant to enjoy both food and company, not to have their conversations drowned out by music.
There were also small details that added up. For example, when I asked for a glass for my drink, they brought me a plastic cup. Additionally, the garlic sauce portion for our platter was tiny—just a 1-ounce container for five people. When we asked for more, we were charged $1 for each additional ounce.
Overall, our bill came to about $200 after the tip. While the food quality justified the cost, the sit-in experience left much to be desired. If Beit Sitty can improve its customer service and focus on these finer details, it would make a huge difference. For now, I can only give them 3 stars based on the excellent food.

The filet mignon and kafta skewers are really good and the potatoes and fatoush were also good. The food wasn't bad, but the servings are a joke. One singular plate of rice for a family mix for $125? And one singular plate of fatoush and potatoes? And they have the audacity to charge $4 for a single can of cola, that isn't even brand-name, but Selection. I understand the whole boycotting thing, but to still charge $4 for a can is actually insane.
Also, %18 "gratitude fee" is nuts. That is way, way too much. The servers are really rude about it too and they're so sassy for absolutely no reason. Just glaring at us the whole time and gossiping in front of other customers.
The food is good, but in my opinion the prices are reflective of a greedy owner, and the servers are rude and have an attitude. Relax, this isn't Toronto. Don't think I'll recommend this restaurant to anyone I know moving forward.
Edit: The owner gets defensive to criticism and only responds well to positive comments. Both the server and the owner in person were condescending to us about the 10+ group fee despite the fact there was absolutely no set up whatsoever. So I lowered the rating to one star.
If you're receiving criticism, as a business owner, no matter how harsh it is, you have to take it and figure out how to move forward and be better. All feedback is useful feedback. If your ego is this easily bruised, maybe you shouldn't be running a business.

Way too expensive, food is oky but portion is too little. Also, the staff seems stressed out and unfriendly. I'm not coming back.
