Scam Alert! No sooner did the person at cash ask me how she can help me, she also made unpleasant facial expressions as she rolled her eyes while I decided and informed her of what I wanted. I chose to let go of the rude looks and just proceeded with my order. I told the person serving me a minimal of 5 times that I wanted a specific amount of pastries. When I went to front cash I questioned her on the amount of pastries she placed in the box. I again said, I only need 10…it seems that there’s a lot more than 10. She replied that it looked more than 10 because of how she stacked them. I now realize that I should have stuck with what I saw instead of taking the employees word. I too should have left the pastries there when I saw that I was charged $38 for 10 pastries that 9 were supposed to cost 2.25 each and [email protected]? While driving home, I pulled over and counted 17 pastries… which explains the cost in which my opinion confirms the employee clearly knew she put in 17 pastries at 2.25 ea after she finished telling me there were 10 and it just appeared to be more cause of how she stacked them. Wow! Ripping people off and to boot during the Christmas season and in this economy! I budgeted for 10 not 17! I should have also stuck with one of two of my first choices…Caldense or Lazar Bakery! Haven’t been ripped off or mistreated there ever! I will never step foot in that bakery at Mavis ever again.

I had bad experience I ordered one sandwich and they charged me for 2 sandwiches. I asked to have olives in my sandwich they didn’t put olives although they charged 0.55 cents their excuse was that they put extra lettuce instead they decided on my behalf. In addition I asked the eggs to be well done but it was very raw.

One of the best Bakery in the area. Not just the quality of food and service, the ambience too is very soothing. It's like a meetup place for people living around the area.. We often visit the place during our lunch breaks.. they have a good variety of tarts and other savories. A must go if you live in the area.

This is a very good neighborhood Portuguese bakery with reasonable prices. can't think of when I last saw a sit down restaurant with a large breakfast sandwich for $5 add an Americano coffee and tip at $20 for 2 is probably why it's always full.
Many sweet and savory treats and drinks. It was busy while we were there. Service was good, I think the personnel is working very hard to keep up. Cleanliness could be improved, like cleaning the tables and seating area outside.
