I eat here often, and the dishes can be hit or miss for take-out. Good portions for the price, but a few of the fried dishes are extremely oily. The cold appetizers and rice/noodles are great!
Been open for ages, have come very often over the years. Obviously going to get your typical, overwhelmingly spicy and MSG and oil-packed selection of dishes, which I'm not complaining about; you're at a Sichuan restaurant, what do you expect? It's delicious enough that it's debatable whether it's worth the uncomfortable bowel movements afterwards.
Great Sichuan spot in a prime location. Mandatory tipping.
I have been to Bashu a few times. Their frog legs in garlic was delicious, but I ordered a steamed rice on the side and it was busy that day so I didn’t receive the rice until afyer I finished the frog legs. At which point I didn’t want it and sent it back. Also ordered the red bean pancakes, they came out first so they were cold once I was ready to eat them as dessert, still good though.
