Ordered two small beers. Bartender wasn’t friendly, also brought two regular sized beers (16 ounce, which I’m sad to say was their regular size) and wouldn’t tell us that they did not have half pint beers. Came to over 30$. After that, the bartender handed me a tablet (not a regular machine) and asked me to fill in all my credit card details including postal code and security code as if I was doing an online shopping order. This obviously took a while and was bizarre for a legit normal restaurant. He had automatically added a 20% tip. I could only bring it down to 15%. After that, the system gave no indication that I was done paying and tried to trick me into adding two more beers to my “tab.” Never again. I am actually worried about what will happen to my credit card info now as the place was so shady.
Had a really weird experience today. The lady serving me and my husband was tipping herself on the iPad then acting like it was not including the tip, trying to get a bigger one. It was super weird and shady, she was also just sitting down eating the whole time while we were there and acted like we were an inconvenience to her. when I questioned the bill she came up and showed me and said “well if you don’t leave me the 10 extra dollars your only leaving me a 5$ tip” as a bartender myself, this was insane. Watch out guys!
Food wasn't very good. Staff would rather talk to eachother instead of checking in on the patrons. Chicken was dry AF. There are better spots to go at the airport in TO.
Had a bit of time before my flight so thought I’d have a drink here. First, the payment system is bad, like, very bad. Scan QR code, wait for ages to get connected order and pay, and wait for the drink. And wait… and wait. I eventually had to ask the (elusive) server what happened to my drink. A couple next to me asked about theirs too. When the cocktail came, I’d be suprised if there was any alcohol in it. No wonder they want you to pay first because quality is not good. Definitely give this a miss
Brutal service. 4 staff that just ignore you even while you talk. One guy was on Bluetooth talking to someone while avoiding everyone. Food was dropped off and was not as advertised and no one would come near to ask if we were okay. Had to get up and find someone to help us.
Bad experience. Just make sure you don't order with the QR code like they requested because you will never see them again.
This bar in the terminal will not serve you unless you provide it with your email, phone and other details that are not required to get a drink, your data is sent to the United States.
So, imagine you're stuck in the airport for 2+ hours waiting on a connection. And your option is ... This.
Most of the bar chairs are bolted down, which is, at minimum, very inconvenient. I couldn't sit down without touching the person next to me -- some muscled guy watching hockey -- and that I'd really rather not. My stuff went to the floor in front of me, as there is no other option AND not even the option of hanging anything on your stool, as there is no back on it. Since I wanted to use the charging station, I had to... Crawl under the table to pick stuff. You know. Uncomfortably close to other people... And not even to their shoulders.
It was over 1h before closing and there was a hockey match on. I wanted some Collective Arts beer, but they had run out... And clearly either couldn't or couldn't be bothered to open the next keg. Since, again, I had a long wait .. I chose something else.
Then comes the paying system that is just silly. The tablets are slow, and there's no reason not to do it on your phone, really... But I wasn't given that option by my server. Who, btw, although an adult male could pass for the ~caring is so last year teenager. Also when I was given the tablet to pay the first time, value - including tip - had already been added... Which is very convenient when your service is super bad. When I got my second I did get the chance to *choose* it, but that's too little too late.
Either way, doesn't seem worth it. If there were any other options around, they'd be really dead in the water.
Bad service
They ran out of every beer…. At the beerhive…. Not the employees fault but, come on.
I resent the technology use only. Tech should be an option but not the only way. Not everyone is interested in this method and cell phone dependence. My server was extremely helpful however.
As for food, I ordered caesar salad and think bacon is a part of that. Shame on you to charge extra.

They ask you to add your card information manually in their ipad to pay ! No tap option, no cash option, and it seems even staff are so frustrated with that!

Terrible customer service experience!
We waited for the table to be cleaned and when it was finally cleaned there were areas that were still dirty and the seats had crumbs on it. I asked for the cloth to clean it myself so it could be done properly.
my partner ordered a beer, I went to the bathroom came back and it was still not at the table
This is not the managers fault but the actual employees work ethic.
The facts are very disappointing.
