Really disappointed the snack had a strange taste and didn’t seem fresh at all. Not the experience we were hoping for.

We ordered a mutton meals. The food quantity was so less. It was not sufficient for one person. We had the same meals from similar restaurants. But the food quantity and taste is so bad here.

I bought 1/2 tray chicken biriyani at 12 pm. Food is spoiled at 3 pm . My aunty got food poisoned, eating this food. They accept cash transaction with no receipt. This is the worst restaurant. I called & complaint, they don’t even apologize, they arguing our food will be good , it will spoil only next day. I wish Canadian food inspectors will look into this & take some serious action against these people.

Ordered takeout on a whim when I was visiting Long and McQuade next door.
Suffice it to say that the food was delicious. Everything I ordered was just great.

The goat and curry chicken are my favorite in the city. Wonderful heat and flavor.

I recently visited Bitunthavanam, a Sri Lankan restaurant, and had a really positive experience. The service was both friendly and quick, though there was a bit of a wait for freshly steamed food, which I didn’t mind at all since it’s worth it for the freshness. Sri Lankan cuisine is definitely meat-heavy, so it’s not the best choice for non-meat eaters, but I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious vegetarian options.

The idli, medu vadai, and masala vadai were all tasty and well-prepared. The highlight for me was the onion pakoda – it was exceptional! Unlike many places that use too much batter and too little onion, Bitunthavanam nailed the country-style preparation with the perfect balance of crispy texture and onion flavor.

I also had freshly steamed idli, which was light, fluffy, and full of flavor. Even after reheating it later in the day, it retained its moisture, which speaks to the quality and care that went into preparing the food.

Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I’ll definitely be going back for more. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Stopped in for a take out order. Got string hoppers, chicken curry, crab curry and a couple of parratas. Couldn’t wait to get home so we ate the parratas in the car! The food was delicious. Sri Lanka spicy so watch out! The prices are extremely reasonable.

I order from this spot when craving authentic Sri Lankan food, and it always hits the spot.

They even do catering! They've done a couple of events, including my wedding! People raved about the food, especially the chicken biryani, mutton curry, eggplant, and the apps, including muttin rolls and chicken patties.
