Bubble Republic Tea House

I’ve been going here since I was young haha. So consistent and very good. I usually like getting the hot almond black milk tea with mixed tapioca, the curry laksa, and roti on the side (to dip into the laksa). Honestly though, I love this place. I know that it’s a bit older now so some things might be iffy, but please give it a chance! Ask what they recommend and try it out!

As a Taiwanese who has spent nearly 20 years of my life in Taiwan, the food here is authentic and delicious! It was so good I ordered takeout to bring home (I live far from the area). Only down side is I didn't notice this was two restaurants in one place and are owned by different owners. The payment is separate and one of them (the Breakfast shop/Hainan chicken menu) couldn't take my American debit card which made payment very complicated (I didn't have Canadian dollars on me). Fortunately the staff was very patient and helpful. Lesson learned! I'll definitely come back again for the great food but probably only purchase from the actual Bubble Republic Tea House and not the breakfast shop/Hainan chicken menu to make things easier!

Bubble Republic Tea House has a wide selection of bubble teas, snacks & Taiwanese dishes here at at the Deer Run Shopping Centre, 4040 Creditview Rd Unit 24, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

I ordered chicken rice and they gave me wrong one. Because the chicken rice I ordered was called hainan chicken rice. And the hainan on the menu was printed in very very small front. And as they had 2 different kinds of chicken rice, they didn’t even clarify when people order. Sooooo bad experience!!!

This place has remained consistent with their food and drinks. Still one of my fav places; it hits the spot and also brings back memories from many years ago from when they first opened.

Food was amazing. I had the house special sandwich and bak kut teh. Super flavourful and staff were super friendly!

Oh man, hands down one of the best mango slushes I’ve ever had!

Best place ever

The place is pretty run down and chairs are very dirty. The oil used for the deep fry food is old and I have a very upset stomach after eating lunch there. The good side of this place is the bubble tea, mine was quite good. Anyway, I do not think I'll be going back again.

Milk tea is good. It was the coldest drink I’ve ever gotten at any bubble tea/drink place which really surprised me. I feel like I didn’t even need to add ice! I also got a hot milk tea and it was really hot too. I saw the staff heating it up with a steam wand, which is cool.

It’s a bit expensive, though. Toppings aren’t included in any of the drinks and they cost an extra $1. I was excited to try the small tapioca here, but it was softer than I would have liked and not as chewy as I was expecting. It was more like slightly bigger sago. I also didn’t get any tapioca in the hot drink. Either they forgot, or the drink was so hot that it melted it, lol.

Aside from that, staff are really friendly! It’s convenient that it’s right beside the grocery store so I can get a treat afterwards.

The chicken was pretty tender and juicy.

Used to love going to Bubble Republic because they were one of the few places that served food with bubble tea. I tried to go in today after not visiting for a few year & wow I can really say that this place has fallen off. Go elsewhere!

When you go In, you have to pick up the menu from the counter, then go and get your seat.
Their menu has removed over half the items by taping them over (likely due to cost cutting by reducing the menu).

And when I stood up to place my order at the counter, they informed me that if you want the meal deal, you can only get unflavoured basic tea! You can't even pay to add flavor pumps or anything! You must pay full price, on top of the meal price?!?

This place really fell off & between the reduced menu, crazy pricing & reviews of cockroaches, is probably going to shut down soon.
