0/10. The service was horrible they acted like we were an inconvenience.
I ordered the Tuscan Flatbread which had pesto, caramelized onions, sundried tomatoes, and mozzarella... that is not what I received. I got a flatbread with american cheese slices and"fresh tomatoes". I would have sent it back but I think that would have pushed our waiter over the edge.
Don't waste your time.

Hey, Holiday Inn, here’s a thought… when a bleary-eyed guest shows up at the front desk at 6:30 on a Sunday morning to tell you that the coffee machine in the room doesn’t work, maybe you should: 1) apologize for the inconvenience and 2) offer them a coffee from your on-site restaurant If this person was willing to settle for the in-room Keurig then they were desperate enough to deserve some compassion. Good marks for this hotel in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and attractiveness. Staff needs to brush up on basic hospitality. (Yeah, I’m better now. The McDonalds coffee was only 5 mins away.)
This was one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever had. To start things off, the remote for the TV didn't work so we called down to the front desk and the lady said that she would send someone up to look at it. About 5 minutes later there was a knock on the door and the "maintenance guy" came in. He said something like "it's really cold in here" and went over to the heating system on the wall which looked like it was about 50 years old. He adjusted something then said " that should work better". He then went to work on both TVs and after a few minutes said that they were both fixed. Within a few minutes we realized that he really hadn't done anything and that they were as dysfunctional as before (as was the heating system - no surprise there). We (the kids) were excited about the pool and hot tub but were utterly disappointed in that. When we went down there, the kids, who are normally very upbeat about hotel swimming pools, looked disappointed and reserved to go in. As I looked around, first I noticed that the hot tub looked sad to disgusting and didn't work. I walked around to the pool and noticed a some trash in the pool and hair all around the pool - AWFUL! I was very upset and realized that we had essentially been scammed. I went to the front desk to complain and the same maintenance guy was there along with the front desk attendant. Both were oppositional and argumentative. The maintenance guy (who I am pretty sure is from Romania or another eastern European country) asked me to show him what I was talking about. We went into the pool area and he denied everything. He said that the cleaners left at 5 pm (about 15 minutes prior to this) and said that they had just thoroughly cleaned the area and that someone else had probably come in since and thrown the garbage in the pool. He did not offer to remove the garbage or do anything else. The initial confrontational attitude continued to worsen and he just stormed out. I resolved that I was just going to check out first thing in the morning and to get out with the least trouble possible.
This weekend me and my fiancé went to stay at the Holiday Inn. I booked the room with King size bed. Room was fine even though it was located right beside elevator. And some people that were not sleeping at 3-4 am were kinda loud in the hallway. When we arrived to the hotel, the Indian guy that works at the reception was not welcoming at all. When I tried to check in he told me that his colleague will check me in while her and other person were chatting as they were changing the shifts. Anyways, this Asian girl checked us in but I requested late check out. She said 12 pm - no problem but if we need to extend till 1pm, just call in the morning. Ok. I was given two keys. From two elevators, only one worked. When we entered our room, one minute later the door opened. I was like excuse me??? They guy said “I’m sorry.” And closed the door. I came after him and asked how come he entered our room? Is he a guest who has the same key? He said he was housekeeping. I told him he supposed to knock the door but not just scan key and enter the room. What if me and my fiancé were naked or something? Anyways, I asked him to give us extra towels because I usually use big towels when in shower (even at home). He kinda gave me the look but realized he was wrong so didn’t have a choice and gave me those. Next day in the morning around 6.30am I took my medicine and decided to cal reception request 1pm checkout and was told “you are good”. And we slept. At 9.30am housekeeping knocked on the door and I answered and said we are in till 1pm. Around 10.30 reception called and said someone checkout from our room. I said it’s impossible I’m still in the room. I have the key from the door. I asked the receptionist to come upstairs to see the keys as he kept insisting that we checked out. Then he had odecity to tell me he wants us out as soon as possible because we supposed to check out at 11am. I said that’s not what I was told. He said he checked us in again BUT he ruined my day. I told my fiancé I didn’t want to stay there anymore and we ended up leaving. Besides, the guy charged me extra for checking out at 1pm even though I was promised no charge. Do not book this place because staff does not care about the guests. When I asked him to show me the key holder with room number, he showed me the basket with ripped papers. It looked like he didn’t want to sea with me. So once again, go elsewhere. It’s not worth it. You want a great service for same or even cheaper money, go to Monte Carlo Inn.
Came to visit family. Hotel was nice. reasonably clean. Breakfast was not included in our price and for the added price, it was better and cheaper to go to Tim Hortons nearby. An Ok place. Staff was very helpful. Centrally located.
Deont desk staff is very kind but DO NOT STAY HERE. I was here 5 days. The catalytic converter was ripped from my car. Management did not care. Said there was nothing they can do because you park at your own risk. Elevators were down for two days.and they did not tell People till AFTER they were already checked in. No offer to have staff carry luggage up or down the stairs. trash in the hallways for days at a time. Place is not clean! ATM had no cash for three days ! Worst HINN I’ve ever stayed at but mostly because the young Manager just does not care about good customer service or setting an example For his employees. Just stated “there’s nothing I can do”. Yes there is, sir, so right by your customers and they’ll think highly rather than poorly of you and the HINN.
Stayed here for two nights with my husband during a work trip. Checking in was a breeze & we were even able to check in a little early with no charge! It was in a great location with lots of restaurants around and easy to get to. It was also about a 15 min drive to the mall as well as the airport. Rooms were pretty standard & the pool was a bonus for the kids. They offer a breakfast buffet for $15. Which I found to be a little better quality then other locations. It wasn’t too busy while we were there so zero complaints about noise. The beds were also very comfortable and I LOVED the easy online check out option! We were able to just pack up and leave without any delays at all. All in all it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend!
Great lunch at Burger Theory, tasty burgers and yummy brownies
No Smart Tv which was totally disappointing and the both the keys were not working in the elevator and the room entry it was frustrating!! There was no one at front desk either and the phones were diverted elsewhere

Stayed for 1 night due to last minute business trip. The hotel is not well maintained and this is visible throughout the building. The room itself had several issues including stains on the comforter and sheets, the lighted mirror was not functional (in the bathroom), and the towels are extremely poor quality (tiny and extremely stiff). The hotel only has 1 working elevator as well, and from what I’ve heard the second elevator has been broken for months (not acceptable). Many of my colleagues also had issues with their rooms. This hotel just feels poorly maintained and I would not recommend staying here.
We stayed 2 nights recently and were not very impressed. While the hotel itself is fine and the staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping gave us new towels but didn’t make the bed. They didn’t replace the broken coffee maker when we left them a note. There was no cold drink glasses. And the pool was unquestionably the most “Arctic” experience I’ve ever had! ( and I’ve been in the Yukon in December!) I would never stay at this particular hotel again and would seriously question another Holiday Inn.
Do not book this hotel, ever! Our room was disgusting. Bathroom not cleaned, left over soap with hair on it, garbage not emptied, Bed linen stained, top bed sheet with some sort of brown (no idea what) smeared on it. We were offered a room change but they couldn't accommodate us I was travelling with a family member & this would not work for us. We were then offered something from their market. A can of pop and a bag of chips is absolutely not acceptable. We were promised full room service the next day! That did not happen. The gross room was still there on our return from a day out. We booked through hotwire & I was offered a $40.00 credit to my account. Not offered a credit to my Visa but to my Hotwire account. Like I will ever use them again. NEVER! The hotel manager offered to open me a Holiday Inn rewards account with some points added (not enough to book a room he told me) I am still waiting for that to happen. Overall this hotel falls way below expectations! Huge huge disappointment! Big lesson learned. Do yourself a favor & book a hotel closer to the airport but not through Hotwire. It cant be any worse than here!
This hotel did not have the regular feel of other Holiday Inns. I have never had a bad visit at a Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express & Suites but we will not stay at this location ever again. The check in was average, our vouchers for breakfast (which we paid for in advance) were not issued and we were made to wait the first morning for them to be filled out manually for our four nights there. You'd think something electronic would be available. We had a stay of four nights and were at first given a room on the first floor which was literally, facing a wall. The check in person (they don't wear names) did move us to the fifth floor which was much more palatable seeing the CN Tower in the distance as opposed to a brick wall. Although there is choice for the breakfast, as someone else mentioned, the replenishing of fruit seems to be an issue. If they are open till 10 am, they should not be telling people there's no more fruit at 9;15 am. There was no apology, just a very terse, "No more fruit". This happened on three of our four mornings. Even though it was pointed out on our first and third mornings there, the standing hand sanitizer by the front desk stayed empty the whole time - there was no hand sanitizer in the restaurant (even though everyone used the same serving tools). The weekend waitress was very unprofessional, often sitting with her friend/boyfriend in a booth.- just unprofessional. The pool was pleasant but the dumping cans for children didn't work. They did have towels and it was clean. I have stayed at hotels where for environmental reasons, they ask to reuse towels which is fine. But after our first night, we came back to the room and our towels were changed but the bed wasn't made. When I called down to ask why, they said that it's only on the third morning that a 'FULL SERVICE" is completed. Otherwise, it's just a towel change and garbage emptying. I've never encountered that before and it was not written anywhere. They don't have to change the sheets but they can make the bed. The hotel has a feel that it might be being used as a long term stay for some of the guests. We asked about it and the person said: No, we discourage long term stays by overcharging for the room so people choose somewhere else for long stays (e.g. an extended stay hotel). It just felt off. Stay somewhere else.
I'm not sure why there are negative reviews for this place. We were served immediately and the food was served in a reasonable amount of time. The food was excellent, especially the gravy! The server was polite and prompt. We would eat there again.
