Calabash Caribbean Cuisine

I swear this place is never open. Went once during the summer and she said they were closing early because it was too hot. Then went there during the fall time and they were completely closed (hours say open 11:30 and I arrived at noon)

I always get take out so I can't comment on the atmosphere really, it's clean though and the owner is always friendly and pleasant. The ONLY roti shop I go too.

Ron was such a treat!! My motto for Caribbean restaurants is usually “If the service is rude, you’ll love the food” but Ron and his food certainly changed my mind. The jerk chicken dinner was awesome, it reminded me of when my parents would take me to Jamaica every few years. The Caribbean flavour was so authentic, the meat was cooked to perfection, and I could not stop eating the rice and peas. The atmosphere in the restaurant was just like being in the Caribbean. If you ever want great Caribbean food or even just a chat with a wonderfully kind person, I would absolutely recommend stopping by Calabash!

Recently, I have helped this restaurant to deliver foods and they failed to meet the anticipated time, but I am appreciated their excellent accommodation as they provided supports for me during my waiting time. It is fabulous, I will visit there again as a customer next time.

Came in to get some doubles and was so happy with the warm and generous service The owner was so sweet and hospitable, and the food was very very good. Will have to come back to try the oxtail and cajun shrimp next time!

I had dinner with a group of work colleagues at Calabash last night. Although it’s not a typical sit down restaurant, the owner, Ron, made it a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious and we felt as though we were visiting a good friend! We felt taken care of! Thank you, Ron!

Ron prepared some fabulous dishes for our work gathering and kindly made mixed plates to allow us to sample a couple of dishes. The oxtail was fabulous, and I also enjoyed the curried goat on rice. I was hesitant to try Caribbean cuisine, but now I'm a fan. Ron was a great host.
The dine-in area was not fancy, but it was clean and comfortable for a tasty meal with friends.

Ron was fantastic, generous and fun. My friend and I are both veggie folks and the meals were delicious. We are looking forward to being served and nourished by Ron and Calabash again
