I wish I had known about this place sooner! No need to drive to Toronto for delicious authentic Portuguese food. A perfect CHARCOAL grilled bitoque? Great portions and a really great server, I couldn’t say anything negative. I took pictures after having a bite, because I knew I’d be writing a review. We’ll be back.

I recently visited Casa da Malta for a Portuguese dining experience, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. The highlights were definitely the clams and the chouriço à bombeiro — both were delicious and flavorful, giving a promising start to the meal.

However, the fried cod fish, which three of us ordered, was notably salty. It was disappointing because it overshadowed what could have been a standout dish. The steak also fell short; it wasn’t bad, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression, especially given the reputation for great Portuguese steaks.

The service, while friendly, left something to be desired. The waiter was warm and attentive, but it seemed like he was the only one managing several tables, which led to slower service throughout the evening.

I’d definitely be open to giving it another try, especially for those clams and chouriço — if they can fine-tune a few aspects, this could be a great spot for an authentic Portuguese experience.

What an awesome gem of a restaurant in Mississauga. Only went once, but it's easily one of my favourites.

The food is so good and the serving sizes were great. The vibe is not quite fine dining which is awesome because it creates for a more relaxed environment - and the price is very reasonable for what you get.

The butter shrimp appetizer was soooo juicy and flavour. Same with the octopus skewer. The house white wine was phenomenal as well.

My husband and I just finished dining here. The place was very inviting and friendly. The food was even better and definitely made with extra love. The servers are also top notch. Great place to choose for your dining experiences. We will definitely be returning. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Casa Da Malta is great for authentic Portuguese cuisine. The Chef is excellent, the marinating, the flavours, the sauce for the meat and shrimp are excellent. The fish is SUPER amazing! The wine is great. A good go-to spot. We call a couple days in advance for arroz marisco and bacalhau a bras and it is always spectacular. I highly recommend Casa da Malta. You can even get take-out from their hot table at lunch, or from the hot table if you need something quick and already prepared.

Been there a few times, good food however service is terrible. Never any tables available even when the whole restaurant is empty, and when they do provide a table it’s like they’re doing you a favour. The son that’s always there needs to be more catering and helpful to customers instead of being passive and unconcerned !

We had a lovely lunch at Casa da Malta today. Diago was our server and made excellent recommendations. I noticed the table next to us had a nice-looking steak, which we intend to try plus other dishes when we visit the next time.
