Normally we really enjoy this restaurant, good variety of food selection. Went here today on Mother’s Day. Reservation for 15 people. We were the first people to arrive when they opened at 12pm. but the manager or who ever at the front desk would not sit us in the section that had a long enough table for all 15 of us. They separated us by 2 tables, 11 at one table and 4 at another felt like we werent at the same lunch together. Our waiter was amazing. (Spoke Vietnamese/Chinese not sure of his name) He tried his best to make us comfortable and serve our tables. Very disappointed that we couldn’t all sit together when they had the tables to. (Even when we left 2 hours later the tables where STILL available.)Probably won’t go back here anymore since they can’t accommodate my family.

My best advice for those considering to spend their money here is don’t. There are plenty of better Korean BBQ places that are clean and give value for the money you spent. The drink menu was dirty (pictured) during a global pandemic, table had not been wiped down properly upon arrival, mirror next to our was filthy which shows they don’t care for cleanliness, there were bits floating in our waters and the cups were very dirty, made me lose my appetite. On top of this all, the manager was extremely rude and aggressively dropped our food on the table saying we ordered too much and would be charged for unfinished portions (which is fine but we always order the same amount at KBBQ and finish it all no problem. He could have been more professional in his mannerism). The shrimp is not depooped, the short ribs were very fatty and the calamari inedible. Oysters were unclean. Overall, extremely disappointed with service, food quality and lack of cleanliness. Stay away!

This is the review for Chaka Mississauga.I went there for lunch and the place looks run down. The last time i went was in Markham and it was alot nicer and cleaner. The blinds where dusty and greasy. The food was good with variety. But i thought it was rather pricey for lunch. For two people i cost us $100. including tips and taxes. I never looked at the breakdown on the bill but it did not make sense to me.After i left i calculated buffet was 35.99 x 2 and i ordered 1 coke($3.50). Plus if you pay cash u get 10% off.would be $67.93 after the 10% off x 13% HST = $76.76.The waiter told me the bill was $89 after the 10% off and i gave him $11.00 tip. i was in a hurry so i never questioned the bill. To this day i don’t know how it was 89$.Anyhow i don’t think its worth the money for this price. Hence only 4 tables was occupied during the time we were there for lunch. Make it a habbit to Check your bill before you pay.

I’m not one to share reviews but was not impressed. Very interesting experience and not a good one. First and last time I come here. To start off the girl with the blonde strands at front of her hair, she is not welcoming and has an attitude. I get work can be stressful but don’t be miserable towards customers who want to enjoy a good meal. I called to ask about the QR codes and no manners and not professional. Secondly, we get sat at the table and my napkin is already stained and there’s a short strand of black hair. I asked for a new napkin in a nice manner and the guy comes with a handful of napkins and says “is that enough for you?”…attitude from another employee, a tall skinny guy with black hair, and walks away after I take the napkins and say thank you. Thank goodness we had a different gentleman serve us, I don’t know his name but he was so sweet and friendly. He saved my night and made my experience at this place a nice one with his nice character and service. I wish I got his name but he was phenomenal.

My first time going to Chako was November 2016 and the food quality and prices were much better back then. Their prices have been increasing every year long before the pandemic started. I went again in November 2021 and noticed the servers kept bringing extra of each dish even when we only asked for one of each, including items we didn't order at all. They charge an additional fee ($5 I think) for each container of food that you don't finish, which I think was the reason why they tried to keep bringing more to our table. When we asked if we could at least cook the remainder of the meats and then take it home if we already have to pay for what's in the extra containers, we were told they couldn't package up the food that you cook yourself which didn't make much sense to me. Their menu even states that you can take it home but we weren't allowed to. The short ribs were very fatty/chewy and hard to eat so we ended up sticking to the regular beef and chicken. Keep in mind that the meal already includes a 12% gratuity despite the fact that you're cooking your own meal. Stick to water or pop here because there are big mark-ups on the alcohol. For example, Chum Churum Peach Soju is $9.85 at the LCBO for a 360ml bottle but Chako charges $20.95! There are plenty of cheaper places for Korean BBQ in the GTA that are the same or even better quality. If you want an overpriced meal, go to The Keg instead of Chako because at least you get your money's worth over there.

Chako has definitely gotten better. I was happily surprised about my visit last night. The portions are huge... even for AYCE. The meats were fresh and sooo good. Would definitely be coming back.

This is my go to for affordable AYCE KBBQ. The servers are always kind to us and the food is always great. Prices have increased due to COVID and some hours have changed so I would check before showing up.

What an absolute terrible experience!!! We usually go 4 times a year and after this visit I will never ever go back... The service was complete trash, not friendly or helpful barely speak English and very rude. They slammed all the bowls of in marinated freezer burnt meat on the table and didn't have a clue what was what. After cooking it the taste was straight out of a freezer and rubbery like chewing on a condom. The sushi is dry small and tastes worse then Longos day old sushi in the fridge. The ventilation was a complete joke and you couldn't see the other side of the restaurant... After telling the waiter the service and meal was terrible he said ok and walked away..... Please close your doors and stop serving people trash food

I went for my birthday and the experience was amazing!, the food came quick, drinks and everything we needed.. they don't do anything special for birthdays but my fiance requested to do a candle in a Ice-cream and that was so special that they can make those simple accommodations. Also my partner ordered a double rum and coke and it actually tasted like a double rum and coke ?. Good portions. Friendly customer service, very helpful and kind.

Last birthday meal for the CEO and it was another AYCE affair, this time it was Korean food. We met up with 3 local friends and they recommended this place..This is apparently a very popular restaurant so it was really busy. The place was massive so there was enough room for everyone..Although the meat, seafood and vegetable selections were plentiful and of good quality, the lack of flavour in all of them left a lot to be desired. There was just soya sauce on the table and we didn’t see any other sauce options on the ticket..We ordered a lot and the waiter probably thought we won’t be able to finish them but he didn’t know what was coming for him. ???.The service was actually very quick and efficient but not intrusive..We asked for our grills to be changed but surprisingly we were told that they don’t change them. How weird was that? I’ve never been to any Korean restaurant that did that? If anything, they are always too quick to change grills???.Overall verdict:*Food - 4**Service - 4**Price - 2* (would have been 5* at $34.99 per person for lunch but I didn’t realize that they already tacked on 12% of service charge in the bill and so I added another 20% for tip!!!). I know I should have looked at the bill first before approving the POS machine but maybe I missed a notice that they will automatically a service charge for a party or 6? We’ve always tipped 15% - 25% no matter how bad the food or the service was but 32% was a bit too much..Notwithstanding the small hiccups, it was still a great last birthday meal for Mr. HuiJang-Nim and a fitting conclusion to the week long birthday celebration because of the presence of awesome friends.

First time attending an establishment with this conceptual flare!!Though it took a while for the grill to warm before our food arrived- once it did it was well worth it :)Lots of meat; if you are carnivores then you'll love it!!! ❤I enjoyed the concept and the Chapman's ice cream as the treat.Definitely will return again

We already had a bad experience before in terms of costumer service. But today was the worst. Though the food was good but the crew in the dining area was making the costumers feel uncomfortable. They we're not so welcoming. We weren't able to enjoy our food because we constantly hear loud banging sound of drawers, food containers as they were collecting empty ones. The fact that we have a little baby with us they were so inconsiderate about their behavior. It continued to happen as we finished eating and the crew started collecting the utensils while we were still sitting around the table. They were just dropping everything in that big bucket loudly and the worst is the guy toppled a half empty glass of iced tea and almost spilled on my son's lap luckily my son was fast enough to move back and the guy didn't even say sorry. He just ignored it and continued tossing things in the bucket. We kept calm and complained to the manager. We wont recommend this branch of Chako. The crew is very rude!

Really good but we ordered 2 of everything which was too much. I suggest ordering 1 of a couple things to start and see what you like. Shrimp is good, chicken is good, beef ribs are OK, quite fatty. Vegetable portions are big so just order 1 to start. We ordered suishi and salmon and didn't get it but we didn't say anything because we were so full. The fried tofu is spicy a little FYI. I'd go again but order differently.

Very expensive. When I walked in, it was $36 for a weekend AYCE Korean BBQ. My bill totalled to be $60 after tax. Did not even show me the bill. I did the calculation and that means they charged me around 75% tax? Or an extra fee plus tax? The price was outrageous.
