Zaatargy has the most authentic experience for Lebanese breakfast including atmosphere, hospitality, generosity, and of course flavor. We tried several of classic manakish and were the best we’ve had in GTA for sure. Highly recommended to visit.

This Lebanese restaurant is a delight. We found it on Google and decide to give it a try, being Lebanese food lovers and having a hankering for Middle Eastern food that night.
The eggplant fallen was the most outstanding dish that evening. The eggplant pieces were perfectly roasted and they were served with pomegranate seeds, cherry tomatoes, toasted pita chips and yogurt. It was simply outstanding.
The zaalar with labneb was a really fresh take on flatbread. The bread was made on site, and baked in the big open oven in the middle of the restaurant. Once done, ingredients were place on top, fresh without baking. The addition of the sprigs of mint leaves was a stroke of genius. The fresh taste of mint injected complexity into the mouthful of freshly baked dough, labeh, thyme paste and fresh cucumber! What a combination!
We also ordered sujuk and eggs and that was comfort food, period. The sujuk was tasty and savoury. The Amazing Chicken wrap received a thumbs-up from the toughest critic of all time - a teenager who usually only likes fast food!
Finally, something needs to be said about the Turkish coffee. It was aromatic, and one cannot first inhale the wonderful aroma before taking a sip. It came with many layers of flavour, definitely not your lousy Starbucks swill.

The place has great relaxed vibes, with authentic Levant breakfast/brunch menu done right. Zaatargy gets packed pretty fast especially on weekend so come early. Manakeesh are the most common orders, but their hot pans, and wraps are also delicious. Karak Tea was a highlight with Kunafa (very small size though).

We just visited Zaatargy today and had the pleasure of trying their Lebanese manakish, and wow, what an experience! The dough was absolutely perfect: soft, fresh, and baked to golden perfection. The zaatar blend was truly exceptional, with a spot on balance of sumac and thyme that gave it a rich, authentic flavor.
We also tried the cheese and sesame manakish, and it was amazing, they use Akkawi cheese, the traditional choice for Lebanese cheese pies, which made all the difference. And let’s not forget the lahem b’ajeen, flavorful, well seasoned, and beautifully baked.
The restaurant itself has a warm, inviting vibe and delivers a true taste of Lebanon. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Lebanese flavors!
