Chinese Dumpling House

This was my go to place for dumplings, because you can’t find dumplings really good ones anywhere in Oakville. They were off-line and I couldn’t order delivery for quite some time and they suddenly reappeared so I ordered tonight and the dumplings are significantly smaller than what they used to be. I’m not sure what changed but the quality has changed since they stopped taking online orders.

Had a lovely experience at the Chinese Dumpling House. They just renovated and added the Mala tang hot pot section. I went for the dumplings and they were solid. Ordered the chicken and mushroom dumplings, garlic a-choy and shrimp fried rice. Good portion size and not overly oily. The owner/manager was lovely to talk to - he offered us free popsicle sticks afterwards and green tea. Will be back soon!

This place just went from our favourite lunch spot to the worst ever experience….

They recently went through renovations and we were so excited to be back. They open at 11. I did my usual call to preorder at 11:15 since we’re on a time crunch. No one picked up. I tried again at 11:25. The menu changed so i wasnt able to get all our usual items but i placed my order. We arrived at 11:33. Food used to be waiting on the table ready. Clearly not, and no one led me to a table. I sat myself down and prompted them for tea, extra set of cutlery and condiments which used to be on the table. We waited.. and waited.. and waited. The noodles came around 15mins in. We devoured it in seconds cuz we were starving and we stared at that empty plate and waited.. and waited. We did come for dumplings after all….

The dumplings finally showed up at 12:15. We were so annoyed at that point we couldn’t even enjoy it. Lets not even talk about how it doesnt taste the same anymore. Asked for the bill immediately, chugged a few dumplings and we had to go. Server did apologize and explained they were swamped with delivery orders. She came back with another bill that gave us 20% off. But that doesn’t compensate for the stressful hungry lunch we experienced and definitely not at par with our regular expectations.

This place brought us so much happiness during our short lunches. It was good while it lasted. So disappointed my coworkers said we wont come back again.

They are so lost. The restaurant looks so different and confusing. The owner was there to tell us what they don’t serve on their menu. What a joke!!!! We were there for their dumplings. All the steamers still right next to the cashier and they no longer make that. Ok we are down to try something else, worst decision ever. The almost of time we waited, they should be paying us. Ridiculous!

Ground three delicacies are ok. The braised beef with pickled cabbage is very ordinary. Service needs to be improved. I asked the waiter for a glass of water and even after finishing my order, he still didn’t come.

I originally went to Zhangliang Malatang, but then I noticed that it said Northeastern Casserole on the door, so I accidentally ordered pickled cabbage and fat beef. I also asked the waiter if it was the Northeastern kind of sauerkraut? Tell me yes, our chefs are all from the Northeast. After waiting for half an hour, people from the Northeast were probably silent after watching this🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥

Why say you open at 11am, when there is nothing ready for customers? Was told to wait 30mins for dumplings. Sorry, no can do.

My and my boyfriend LOVE coming here. We came 30 mins before closing and they were fast with food coming out and didn't feel pressured to leave. The fried dumplings, the spring onion pancake and their fried rice was amazing. We get the same things everytime cause it's that great.

One of my favourite dumplings place in Mississauga. I have been ordering the Vegetarian options and those are delicious and juicy.

Although the Vegetarian dumplings are not available mostly , I would definitely try and recommend those ones when you get a chance

They just failed this week's health inspection

DO NOT COME HERE. Terrible customer service, they do not serve vegan option and our family come in group of 8 and my mom was vegan. We already order food and realize they do not have vegan option so my mom visit store next to it to get sandwich and come back to eat with us since they do not have vegan food and they kick my mom out of the restaurant due to she bring outside food in and when we about to leave they tell us we have to pay for the food that we order, even that the food not bring out yet. Not just that the food is terrible and you can taste that it is frozen and just re heat, nothing was fresh. Once again do not come to this restaurant

Went for lunch on a Saturday with 3 adults. Restaurant is located in a busy plaza with a lot of other restaurants and stores. The place was empty with only a couple of customers. Place is older, Chinese syle dining with big round tables for larger groups.

We ordered beef with onion platter, home style Tofu, stir fried noodle seafood dish, and pan fried pork dumplings - 6 pieces. We didn't have to wait long and food came within 15 minutes. It was fresh and hot.

Beef dish was good, flavourful but on the oily side. The homestyle Tofu the server mentioned it would be deep fried and when we got the dish, it wasn't what I expected because it wasn't deep fried, it was soft with sauce and veggies around it. The same with the noodles, while it was good, didn't expect it to be the fatter noodles and it was not crispy at all and limited amount of seafood in the dish. The pork dumplings were good.

We did not order the dumplings because it was 15 pieces and that was too much for us, but curious to try it next time. Server came not often to check on us even though it was not busy. He came when we got his attention. We had leftovers to take home and bill was around $60 with no tip yet.
