Daddy O Doughnuts & British Baked Goods

Ok. Daddy O’s Doughnuts are good. Definitely get top rating for letting their yeasty, raised doughnuts rise a lot before frying. The oil temp must have been perfect because they did not feel greasy at all, nor does it taste like reused frying oil. Their fritter is fantastically fluffy with a delicate crunch at the edges and huge chunks of recently in-the-fruit apples. The carrot cake doughnut (not shown because it was so good that it was gone before a photo could be taken) was moist and flavorful, minus about half the amount of the piped on cream cheese frosting. The raised vegan doughnut was fluffy enough that I suspect all the raised doughnut bases are vegan, which detracts not at all from the doughnut experience. IMO, the vegan chocolate frosting tasted much better with coconut oil than the butter based frosting, even with the annoying crunchy candy sprinkles on it. They need fewer fancy toppings and more plain doughnuts that don’t mask or add to the texture. The maple frosting was buttery and mapley with thick-cut bacon pieces. The lemon Bob Marleys, filled generously with English lemon curd was, however, the best with its soft fluffy, chewy raised outside, erupting with the curd from the inside. Did not get any more (yet) because even my husband could not eat more than 2 in a single sitting. Will see how well these sit out, cut open, if they last that long.

I suspect that the typical consumers probably won’t pay the $4-$5 price tags of most the plainer donuts left at 11:30 AM—except for diehard doughnuts aficionados. But honestly, I can put up with a bit of scraping to enjoy the fluffiness of perfectly fried doughnuts that are not gooey from being undercooked or dry from being overly done. This is definitely a dozen I would feel no qualms taking into a room full of foodies, chefs and master bakers. In fact, I think I will.

My husband and I found Daddy O Doughnuts & British Baked Goods on Google Maps while looking for a new bakery to try, and we couldn’t be happier with our find! This place has an impressive selection of vegan options, which was a pleasant surprise.

We tried the vegan Crème Brûlée and Irish Toffee doughnuts, and they were absolutely delicious – soft, flavorful, and perfectly sweet. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for unique, tasty treats with vegan choices. We’ll definitely be back!

Donuts are tasty but staff were rude. Spent $26 dollars didn't even get a thank you, the box was just plopped down on the counter. We've been a couple of times before and never encountered rude service before.

Daddy O’s has the best vegan donuts and just donuts in general. I’ve tried A LOT of donut places and theirs are definitely my favourite. Their dough is unlike any other donut I’ve ever had. It has the best texture and taste. The flavours change monthly but some flavours are always on the menu. Their Homer Simpson donut is simple but soooo good. Their donuts can sell out quick so it’s better if you preorder in advance, especially if you want specific flavours or are looking to get a lot of donuts.

The pumpkin spice doughnut was so good!
I loved all of the ones I bought. Lemon BobMarley was delicious. Strawberry cheesecake turned out to be really good, and I'm not a fan of strawberry flavor anything. All the doughnuts are super soft you can tell they are fresh. If you've never been here, I highly recommend checking them out

I have been coming since they first opened their storefront and have never been dusappounted. Always delish. We have a vegan family member who also loves their vegan options, so everyone is happy. They also carry a variety of British pastries and imported goods.

Came in for the first time. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Doughnuts were so good they didn't last once they were brought in.
Would highly recommend it and would totally go back if I'm in the neighborhood.
