This is a go-to spot for vegetarian food! I am a regular customer. The Thai Hot Pot always slaps and it has good portion sizes (feeds about 3 people). Service is good. It looks like they recently renovated, so everything looks new.

Tried this place a year ago and I still think about it. I'm not vegetarian but this spot does their soups so well that I didn't even miss the meat. Both items we tried were well-seasoned and well-proportioned. I would definitely come back!

Dai Bi Chay: A Vegan Vietnamese Gem Elevated to New Heights
I’ve dined at Dai Bi Chay in Mississauga twice in the past two weeks, and I’m still reeling from how phenomenal this place has become. Having visited a few years ago, I was already a fan, but the recent improvements have transformed it into a must-visit for vegan food lovers and anyone craving vibrant Vietnamese cuisine. From the revamped aesthetics to the flavorful dishes and thoughtful accommodations, Dai Bi Chay is firing on all cylinders.
The moment you step inside, the ambiance grabs you. The decor has been upgraded with fresh, modern touches—think lush indoor plants, a soothing water feature, and a chic yet cozy vibe that feels both welcoming and sophisticated. It’s a far cry from the already pleasant setup of years past, now elevated to a space that’s as visually stunning as the food is delicious. The lively yet clean atmosphere makes it perfect for everything from a casual lunch to a special dinner with family or friends.
The menu is a love letter to Vietnamese cuisine, reimagined with plant-based artistry. Dai Bi Chay’s commitment to mock meats is a game-changer, and they nail it. The vegan “chicken” drumsticks and mock grilled pork are so convincingly meaty in texture and flavor that even my non-vegan friends were floored. I tried the Bun Bo Hue Chay, a spicy noodle soup bursting with lemongrass and smoky chili oil, and it was a flavor explosion—perfectly balanced with a generous portion of mock meats and fresh veggies. The Pho Chua Cay Chay was another standout, with a rich, aromatic broth and impeccably prepared tofu that left me scraping the bowl. Every dish is a testament to their months of experimenting with plant-based ingredients, as they’ve clearly mastered the art of transforming traditional Vietnamese recipes into vegan masterpieces.
What sets Dai Bi Chay apart is their attention to detail, especially when it comes to accommodating spice preferences. Whether you’re a heat-seeker or prefer a milder profile, they tailor the spice level to your liking without compromising the dish’s integrity. The flavors are bold yet harmonious, with each bite delivering a mix of tangy, savory, and umami notes that linger long after the meal. The crispy yellow noodles with assorted vegetables and mock meats were a textural delight, and the spring rolls, packed with fresh ingredients, were elevated by a house-made dipping sauce that I could’ve drunk on its own.
The service is as impressive as the food. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their offerings. They’re quick to recommend dishes that suit your taste and check in just enough to make you feel cared for without hovering. The portions are generous, the prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality, and the complimentary tea is a lovely touch that adds to the experience.
Dai Bi Chay has always been a gem, but these recent upgrades—stunning new decor, refined mock meat creations, and a menu that caters to every spice level—have made it an absolute standout. It’s not just the best vegan Vietnamese spot in Mississauga; it’s one of the best dining experiences, period. I’m already counting down to my next visit to explore more of their ever-evolving menu. If you’re looking for food that nourishes the body and soul while dazzling your taste buds, Dai Bi Chay is the place to be.

Went here for dinner with my parents and brother, the entirely vegetarian menu is surprisingly good! We ate the mango salad, mock shrimp on sugarcane, and tom yum hotpot. Very filling and Paul was an amazing server, will definitely return sometime!

This place is 100% vegetarian but not 100% vegan. They have a new pared down menu and a renovated market area, including both frozen items and pantry items including veg*n pork floss. The vermicelli bowl with mock meat, pork floss, and fried spring roll is amazing and we get it every time. Papaya salad is very good as is the bahn mi. I got the fried wonton noodle soup for the first time. It was so good- four giant fried wontons in a delicious clear yellow broth with noodles, bean curd skin, mushrooms, some veggies, and a play of bean sprouts, basil, and cabbage. Delicious.

Service went downhill. This will be the last time.
Some of the tofu or soybean food had a moldy taste (the round ball and sth else).

The young waitress was spraying bleach cleaning the tables next to us and the smell is strong. I would recommend to retrain the spraying bleach waitress on etiquette. Moving tables loudly.

I recommend their desserts at the cashier - yogurt, flan cake, and coffee.
I don’t recommend any of their food on the menu. Too expensive for some moldy tofu/soybean.

I believe that everything on their menu is vegetarian. I had a fried rice with an imitation of meat but there was more rice than meat so I was just a little disappointed. But it tastes good, i also had a vegetarian kebab or something of the sort and it was pretty delicious!
