DoughBox Wood Fired Pizza & Pasta - Port Credit

The pasta was too salty and the service was extremely slow. I waited for 30 to 40 minutes. The table next to me, which ordered almost the same time, also ordered pasta but got served first. This happened twice. Very bad experience.

Contrary to the name, didn’t like the dough much. I tried them on pie day and the pizza was a bit bland. Not my kind of pizza. There are definitely better pizza places in Port Credit.

I went to the Port Credit location yesterday. I had Cluck in Caesar for lunch, which was delicious. Went back for dinner and tried the Wise guy very good.

The pizza tasted pretty disappointing, asked for well done and was made to barely being actually done.

Pizza had a lot of flop just tasted like bread with tomato and cheese, if you get what I’m trying to say.

The employees talking the entire time, with customer experience being a second priority it seems. Had to reiterate wanting the pizza “well done”three times before she said ok, but didn’t bother to actually make it well done.

The location is nice, but experience would be a 1/10.

Edit: Not sure how a cheese pizza can’t be made well done? The whole point of well done is to have the cheese slightly crisp; hence asking for well done.

If a restaurant isn’t able to get down the most simple item on the menu, I find that mildly concerning.

I had two orders of Carbonara on January 13 and I was so disappointed. Not only were both the penne noodles and pancetta undercooked, it was also lacking in sauce. The pasta came out soooooo dry. I had to cook it again and made a white sauce myself. Please improve!

We ordered margarita, rustic veggie and grilled vegetables pasta and everything was well done as per the instructions given to the staff a girl named Harpreet .she was very friendly and professional and most important the pace was clean and tidy .

If I could give zero stars I would.
I placed an order online for pick up over an hour later and when my husband arrived they hadn’t even started the pizzas, there were workers in the back chatting and then they ran out of ingredients.
When we opened the pizzas at home, I can’t even explain how pathetically disappointing they are… extremely small compared to other dough box franchises (we tried them out because we had such a great experience at one in Vaughn) and barely any toppings.

Absolutely awful experience.

Eating these pizzas has not improved the experience. They are extremely greasy and the dough is chewy.

EDIT 2:
The owner responded and I’d like to call attention to the fact that they feel the need to stretch the truth to make up for the bad review. I’ve added the picture that shows that I placed the order an hour in advance and requested the fior di latte cheese - no favours were done for us, which can further be seen in the photo that shows no extra bacon. The suppliers might be the same but the standard for the Port Credit franchise is definitely lower than other locations.
