They scam their customers into complementary dishes, desert, only to charge for them and pay 40 dollars for live music in their restaurant etc. 25% tip is included on the bill. Avoid at all costs.

Worst experience. I went yesterday there And i was feeling like I made a big mistake coming to this restaurant. The name "farzi" suits them very well as they're farzi. We only ordered coffee and gave complimentary dish at first and gave us bill of $310 with the name of high tea please never go to this restaurant. I would never recommend it to anyone👎

Will not be back, ever! Your predatory sales practices to get people to pay enormous amounts for food and drinks is ridiculous. I honestly have zero clue as to how this cafe is still standing, because quite honestly getting shut-down would save everyone the trouble of having to put up with said practices. If you can't run a restaurant without soaking the wallets of customers, then you deserve to fall. Simply put, this place is not worth the top dollar. Tell your friends and save your money!

their reviews are correct never eat here they are very shady trying to up charge with charging for things you didn't order and charging double for the little you did order then the waiter disappeared so the manager can only say let me talk to him tomorrow and get back to you read their reviews and don't eat here very very shady business

Worst experience ever, i just ordered 2 burger and they give us 2 drinks by saying these are complementary and 2 fries. I thought these are included in my order.
But they charge me $150 as i ordered for 2 burger for $40.

Last night was the last time I will ever step foot in Farzi CafĂ©. Much like all the other reviews, the same happened to my friend and I. We ordered our meal and the server asked if we would like the pani puri. We declined saying the prawns, chicken, eggplant, naan amd rice was sufficient. He walked away and came right back saying “I would really like you to experience Indian street food so I will bring you the pani puri to try”. We hesitated and said we already ordered and he repeated that he really wanted us to experience the food so will “just” bring it for us. NOTE: sounds like he is offering it to us out of kindness! NOT!!!!

A young girl approached the table with a bucket of dry ice and started plating some food. I stopped her saying this wasn’t what we ordered and my friend said it must be what the waiter offered us to experience! When the bill arrived, sure enough a charge of $35 was added to the bill for this “experience”. I called the waiter and told him we wouldn’t be paying the the so-called “experience”. He flatly refused saying we ordered it and had to pay for it. I asked for the manager amd was told that he was the manager. Despite going back and forth, he insisted that we must pay however I stood firm that we wouldn’t.

As a manager his role should have been to de-escalate the situation, instead he was pouring fuel on the fire by cutting us off, speaking over us amd insisting that we ordered the food and had to pay. He then said that we should have refused the food when the young girl came to our table and started to prepare the food. I told him that we told her that we didn’t order the “dry ice show”. Instead of believing the customer he called the young girl and asked if we had a conversation and she acknowledged that we told her we didn’t order this food and that my friend said “this must be the experience the server insisted he bring for us to try”. After her admission, he agreed to remove it from the bill. We paid the balance of the bill and obviously left no tip.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times when it had just opened amd always felt that they tried too hard in upselling but last night was beyond upselling! It was trickery and unethical practice.

I explained to him that had he said to remove an item and replace it with his suggestion, it would have been a clear recommendation. Instead, he took our order, made a recommendation which we declined then came back and said he really wanted us to experience the dish so he would bring it for us to try, made it clear that he was offering the dish at no charge only to trick us when the bill arrived.

Save yourself the frustration by staying away from a restaurant that resorts to such scam trickery. If you want an elevated Indian experience, go to Mishree on Britannia instead!

Shame on this establishment.

We recently had a birthday lunch at the farzi cafe at square one. Worst experience ever . The food was good , but the serves kept trying to add more items to our orders and pretend that we had asked for it. Then they tried to adding it to our bill. And the main thing is the server kept saying thing we’re ‘complimentary’ and they would take no for an answer but it later must have showed up on the bill . The only things we can figure is the server doesn’t known what the word COMPLIMENTARY means and that we were charged for all of those things.
PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE

Hi
I went to this cafe a week ago with my family hoping to have a nice dinner but I was very shocked by the whole situation to begin with the staff doesn’t know how to be polite to the customers especially the manager in blazer he kept on eyeing our table and even my parents felt unsafe it’s not a very nice gesture then we ordered a couple appetisers and drinks even tho my family said they wanted mocktails the server denied our request and said we don’t serve mocktails and further forced us and said we should try the cocktails they aren’t so strong and we won’t be disappointed but the drinks came first and it was incredibly strong as if they planned to get us drunk and when the food came the lamb chops were very poorly cooked as if one was chewing on rubber and the biryani was so poorly made that one could taste only cardamom and no other spice when complained to the server “it’s how we prepare mam” was said and no improvement was made more than that I really don’t appreciate a cafe with such low standards charging so much. The manager takes no responsibility and has all smiles, that man has no sense of etiquette and just manipulates all the customers just so he could print out a fat bill out of it.
Shame to the owners I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAFE TO ANY PERSON AT ALL.
PROBABLY THE WORST THAT GTA HAS TO OFFER
