The Friendly Grill Restaurant & Deli

I recently visited this spot and ordered a cheeseburger. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The patty had an overwhelming charred taste, as if it had absorbed every burnt particle from the grill. Instead of a balanced, smoky flavor, it leaned heavily into bitterness, which overpowered the rest of the burger. It felt less like a grilled delight and more like a misstep in execution. Hopefully, it was just an off day, but I’d be cautious before ordering the same again.

However, people behind the counter were really nice and friendly!

This restaurant clearly has some history, although it's new to me. We go for work , specifically lunch. I have no critiques to offer here, it's my opinion that anything can change, but when you come across something magical, just let it be and don't mess with a good thing. They are always smiling, always friendly , priced the way food ought to be and NEVER once have I had a complaint or issue with the food. This restaurant could teach the big chains a whole lot about food , service, and care!

Smoked meat sandwich was really tasty. Friendly staff. I will definitely be going back to try the other sandwiches.

The food is good, the price is fair, portions are generous and the staff are super friendly. An awesome lunch spot to visit when you're looking for freshly made real food.

Frankly the staff isn't very friendly despite the name and the decor of the joint is all over the darn place has no exact theme

I was here Friday for a hamburger combo and I loved it! I will be back here again for sure! Staff are very friendly aswell. P.S make sure to ask for gravy if you order fries!

Owner George is a real nice guy, and his kitchen knows how to make a fantastic Montreal smoked meat sandwich. The best I've had outside of Montreal! Do recommend!

Nestled in the heart of an industrial park, Friendly Restaurant is the epitome of a hidden gem, seemingly untouched by time and modern upkeep. The decor and maintenance leave much to be desired, with an ambiance that harks back to a bygone era of 1980. They have a payphone with yellow page book as you enter with no payphone for example
Yet, it’s precisely this unpolished charm that draws in all th local patrons, lured by the promise of hearty, unpretentious fare. At Friendly, the food is the main attraction, a testament to the fact that sometimes, it’s the simplest of places that offer the most memorable comfortable dining experiences.

Took my daughter out for a little breakfast date while we were waiting for a windshield replacement. What a perfect experience it was. Food was great, staff was friendly, and they even put on paw patrol for her. We will definitely be going back.

I was eating French fries and I wanted them a little spicy. So while sitting my on my table eating my food and minding my own business I was adding some pepper on my fries. While I was doing this a waitress of age 20-25 laughed on me with her colleagues. Pretty much racism is what I felt. Stop making fun of people, everyone has different opinions and choices.

I would never ever visit this place nor tell my friends to visit it.

Learn how to treat your customers. Shame on you all. Learn some humanity.

Very comfy and homey lil deli.
