I dropped in to buy some electronic odds and ends at Sayal and I remembered about this well reviewed Greek restaurant.
The service was ultra friendly and helpful. This always makes the food experience that much more enjoyable. The service gets 5 stars all day long 👍.
The food should get 5 stars 🌟, but I just need to return a few more times to check on the consistency of the food.
The beef 🥩and lamb 🐑 gyro 🥙 and it was crazy delicious 😋. The meat was well marinated and it packed a flavour punch 🥊. The meat was tender and expertly cooked. It was very enjoyable because I went in the late afternoon and other places will serve me dry meat / proteins. But not here. I was pleasantly surprised and like I said the gyro was delicious with fresh tomatoes and sauce.
The Greek salad was tasty and refreshing as well with their homemade vinaigrette and crunchy-fresh vegetables 🥗.
I will return 💯 % to check in their consistency and to try out the souvlaki etc.
I do love supporting a local mom and pop restaurant owned and operated by a hard working entrepreneur cooking up honest home made dishes.
Please drop in and give them a try and then let us all know what your thoughts 💭 are.
Happy eats everyone 😎

The best Greek restaurant I’ve ever been to in Mississauga. Food is fresh salad is great atmosphere is good. Also alcohol/beer served at this location if needed. This is the best GYRO I’ve ever had.
Parking: Great parking lot of space
Kid-friendliness: Good customer service and excellent food
Wheelchair accessibility: On ground level wheelchair accessible to get into the building and the washroom.

Filling, delicious and possibly the best fries I’ve had in years. I will hit this place up for lunch every few weeks for as long as I work nearby. The fries by themselves are that good, please never change the recipe. Friendly staff; just smiles from ear to ear. Atmosphere is dated but go for the food and staff and you won’t be disappointed.

The reviews were polarizing, ranging from excellent to awful. I had a take-out experience, so cannot comment on the sit-down restaurant itself.
I ordered the most popular item on the menu, which was the chicken souvlaki dinner.
An objective rating:
1. The chicken: Juicy and relatively warm, but slightly burned and criminally underseasoned. Relied on tzaziki for flavour.
2. The potatoes: There were no Greek potatoes that I had been expecting, but fries. Fries were decent. Would have preferred the potatoes.
3. Salad: Fresh. Veggies were appropriately crunchy, with plenty of red onion, cucumber, and feta cheese. Downside: one sad black olive.
4. Dressing: Light vinaigrette dressing, added to the salad without bogging it down.
5. THE RICE. What is this rice? Half was mushy and starchy as if it were overcooked, but the other half was crunchy and dry.
6. Pita bread: two small, sad, limp (and wet, not toasted) slices the size of a toddler's hand. Did not eat this.
Overall: Because I was very hungry and desperate, I was content to eat it in my office. If I were to be served this at a sit-down restaurant, I would send it back. This place might once have been a great Greek restaurant and a local favourite, but the taste of everything combined tells me that's not quite the case anymore, especially combined with the steep price. Sadly will not be eating here again.

I've been coming here since they opened 10 years ago. It was great back then, but now it seems like the food isn't fresh and it's way too expensive. The owner is really friendly, so it's hard to give a bad review. But I'm not coming here again. disappointed 😞

The place is very dirty. The furniture is all worn out inside and outside. As I was putting my leftovers in the trashcan there’s a mice pass right next to me. Very surprised that this place has passed the safety inspections. It was very average.

Wonderful owner, super nice.
Just chicken tasted like it was 2/3 days old.
And it was more expensive than 5 star gyros.
If it was a 6/7 bucks I’d understand.

From the moment we stepped inside, a terrible smell hit us. In hindsight, that should have been our signal to leave, but we decided to stay.
When our food arrived, the odor became even stronger, originating from our plates.
I couldn't even bring myself to approach my plate, let alone eat it. We took the food in to-go boxes and disposed of it at the nearest trash can. The food looked old, especially the meat.
At this point, a city inspection is necessary.

Nightmare! Placed lunch order by phone from viewing web menu. Very friendly on the phone. Arrived to pick up and was IMMEDIATELY turned off by the unpleasant smell (no food aroma at all) and site of how filthy the place is. When’s the last time a food inspector was there, my god?! The order was already placed so we proceeded. Once he started ringing the order in, we were shocked. The prices were FAR higher than website and higher even than the menu posted inside the restaurant - like he was just picking random prices out of thin air. (e.g., chicken plate online $16.99, inside menu says $18.99, he charged $19.99, even after I expressed the posted menu price). He gave us a 10% discount after I pushed back on him. Fine. Then we arrived back at work to eat. We ordered for 7 people: not one happy customer. All the meat was DRY and hard: we tried chicken, lamb and pork. The potatoes (which were brown for some reason) and rice were dry too, and flavourless. I tossed mine right out. The salad was the only decent tasting item. The tzatziki is even dark in color. I’m praying none of us end up sick. Will NEVER return.
