The hot Black Sesame Houjicha Latte is really good!
very friendly staff and yummy food!!! such a cute little shop
Great matcha and the egg salad sandwich was great as well, the presentation/aesthetic >>>
unique japanese pastry shop but the buns are 4 dollars each
Tried the custard, milk and matcha. They are novelty items but nothing special. If you filled a Hawaiian bun with lots of filling, you get something close to 80% of these buns with 20%of the cost.
Great Japanese Cream Buns. Tasty and very soft. There is a fun Omikuji fortune shaker you can do at all their location. Very nice kiosk design. Very friendly staff. This is a cashless location. No credit card surcharge.
Free Mall WiFi though hit or miss.
It is just too expensive for what it is. Bun is small. Good to try here and there but that's about it.
Hattendo is a great little bakery at SQ1. Definitely my favourite to go for matcha as I find it's difficult to find good matcha places around here. The employees are always very sweet.
I regularly buy the strawberry sandwich seasonal item as well as the cream buns! The bread is always soft and the filling is just enough.
これわ大石です。
The cold matcha is divine but I wish there wasn't so much foam.. it didn't feel like I drank that much of it
Very delicious though a bit expensive. I like the matcha cream bun. Will try more next time.
This place is pretty new but I’ve been here three times already!!!! It’s that good. Their portions are pretty big for a good price. It’s also a super cute place to go with your friends. I will definitely be returning. 😊🍜

Too bad they used margarine, one of the bad fats, and matcha is the last ingredient, that’s why the taste is diluted. It’s just soso compared to what I had in Singapore’s matcha buns
Hattendo is a unique Japanese bakery located in the food district of Square One Shopping Mall, known for its cream buns and pastries. The cream buns are soft, fluffy, and filled with lightly sweetened cream, making them a delightful treat. They also serve egg sandwiches, which are flavorful and satisfying, adding variety to the menu.
However, the selection can be a bit limited, and the prices are slightly on the higher side for the portion sizes. While the cream buns are delicious, they may not feel as fresh during peak hours. Overall, it's a good spot to try something different, but there's room for improvement in consistency and value.
Nice selection of Japanese cream buns! Matcha, Chocolate, Cream & Adzuki bean were all delicious!
It's just for the looks. Bread was dry. Just wasn't good at all. Even my kids didn't want another bite.
