Ordered hot n sour, sweet corn and chicken pakora. we were only 2 people.
The server was not interested, not welcoming at all. She didn’t tell us while we were ordering the soups, it comes in family quantity like one enough for 4 people, still she didn’t feel like to guide us that it will be a-lot for 2 people.
They should play some music outside cause customers sitting can listen easily about your kitchen gossiping and bitching about customers.

Friendly staff. Food is reasonably priced. Hot and sour soup is our go-to soup. One large bowl easily serves three people if it’s ordered as a side. Liked the free prawn crackers offered if a survey was filled out. Perfect for families with children on the weekend. Ample parking available. Restaurant is clean with good hygiene standard. The owner normally sits on the corner table, making sure customers are attempted to promptly, and the staff are doing their job properly.

The experience was not a very pleasant one gloomy atmosphere,dirty and unclean table on the side and uninterested waitress. I have previously ordered food from this place so decided to visit in person,however the food turned out to be average and experience below average.

Went here last night, very rude and unhelpful staff who refused to make things right. As i was going to the washroom to clean my hands, I noticed a rat crawling in the kitchen, is this normal ??? I have already contacted the Peel Region Health Inspection who will be investigating into this matter. This place is dangerous, and unwilling to help customers.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to make an exception for Hot and Sour | Hakka Kitchen. This place is seriously a hidden gem in Mississauga. If you’re into bold, flavourful, spicy food—this is the spot.

Went on a Saturday night and the place was empty, with only one waitress. We ordered hot and sour soup, dragon chicken, and Manchurian chowmein with chicken and shrimp.
The soup was just okay, the dragon chicken was too sweet, and the chowmein didn’t have any shrimp — but we were still charged for it.
Service was very slow. The waitress kept going into the kitchen and was unavailable for long periods. We, and other customers, had to walk into the kitchen just to get her attention.
I’ve been going to this place for 15 years — always considered it a solid option amongst the host of other places that offer Hakka.
However, after getting a different dish, I called, expecting a quick fix but instead, employees refused to even acknowledge the error. I was met with cold indifference. No apology. No offer to replace the $18 mistake. Just a flat-out refusal to make it right.
Is this how we treat customers who’ve supported a business for over a decade? I don’t need them to make it right anymore, they can keep the money but please beware, Hot and Sour value $18 over just amending a simple mistake for a long time customer. Incredibly disappointed in their employees and this was most definitely the last time i’ll be going. There’s other options in the city.

Had an amazing experience at Hot & Sour in Mississauga! The food was full of flavor, and the portions were generous. The Dragon Chicken and Hot & Sour Soup were definitely the highlights—perfectly cooked and super tasty. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was great for a casual night out. Will definitely be coming back!
