Best fried chicken!

I ordered the hot cheese fried chicken for takeout and it was pretty good! The portion is huge and super filling so it’s perfect for those with a big appetite. I ended up sharing it with my boyfriend and we both really liked the flavour and thought it had a nice spice to it (I got medium spice). It was a bit salty but still good and the cheese helps to balance it out. It is kind of pricey so I wouldn’t get it all the time but it’s nice as an indulgent treat once in a while.

I was also wondering why it couldn't be cut...it turned out that it couldn't be cut. The chicken cutlets are cooked first and then wrapped in noodles. There is such a gap between the noodles and the chicken... all of this is not completely messy.
Forgive me, I have never eaten chicken steak like this! The taste is so weird...I couldn't eat it after two bites...

Wondering why the operation hours is so erratic at this location?I popped by last Friday May 5 evening and it was closed. Today again closed. It is even showing tomorrow May 11 going to be closed as well. Any particular reason why this location seems to just decides to open at owner's own pleasure?Edited May 11 3:47PMNo feedback whatsoever. I WISH I WAS ABLE TO GIVE THIS PLACE A NEGATIVE FIVE STARS!!!! This friggen place doesn’t open! Earlier this week closed, then the next day closed & guess what today CLOSSEDDDDDDD. This place is a front & needs to be shut down!

They should change their name to ‘Hard to get chicken’ because they are either not open or out of stock. Why!!!

This place is NEVER open. For weeks, I have been checking the store hours and it says that they are closed. I call and no answer.

I highly recommend the crispy fried chicken - the batter is perfect, not greasy, with no powder seasoning. Nothing wrong with the seasoning, but this crispy batter is amazing.Sweet potato fries are incredible. Delicious and unique tasting, with plum powder seasoning.Best chicken in town. I wish they were open more often.

I tried the boneless bites to go since other items weren't available yet but they gave me a stomach ache and it came very quick but far to expensive for a combo...

I went to Hot Star Large Fried Chicken Mississauga on Burnamthorpe at noon on Saturday, March 25th and as I’d never been here before asked for recommendations. I was directed to their most popular “original large fried chicken” (sounded good). Ordered original salt & pepper. When I first bit into it, it was mind-blowing. So good and juicy. I found it a little on the salty side (but that’s only because I don’t normally put a lot of salt on my food). By the time I got to the end of the cutlet it started getting VERY hard in my mouth, very crunchy, and I couldn’t figure out why. Until I realized I was chewing bones! Forgive my ignorance as I’ve never had Taiwanese fried chicken before, but is it customary for the cutlet to be fried on the bone? If so, why?! Why would anyone deep fry a chicken cutlet while still on the bone? If this was an error, then I highly suggest your kitchen staff pay more attention to detail and remove all bones. I’m lucky I didn’t break a tooth on these bones. Overall, the chicken was tasty, however I won’t be back because of the bone in my chicken cutlet. (BTW, if this is indeed the correct way to prepare this chicken cutlet, then at least tell your customers to pay attention to the bone at the end)EDIT April 1-23: I’m glad I checked back for your response. Now that I know you cook the chicken with bone-in, I”ll definitely come back. I loved your chicken, it’s darn near perfection. I love giving out 5 star reviews, I’m deducting one star for not letting your customers know that the chicken is cooked on the bone. I seriously was chewing bones. It’s comical now!!! ? Why wouldn’t you post a sign somewhere, “bone-in chicken used” or tell your customers. Just a friendly suggestion. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My Dr’s office is next-door, I’ll be back monthly. ?
