It’s very sad to see businesses turning business away, they must obviously be doing more brisk business and are not interested in any others. A number of times have visited here and there’s always seems to be a problem especially today. The Tuesday luncheon had planned and called ahead, however get there to find there’s a private party in the back although other people Were at different tables and not part of the party, but we were told that the chef did not want to make any additional meals beyond what they’re doing now so come back another time Definitely will not return any other time. This is a place that only accepts whatever business they want.

Over priced! Portions are the smallest I've seen for the money you're dishing out! Having asked if the server can bring over bread, I was informed a $4 charge would apply so I said keep your bread. Why wouldnt bread be included in a chicken rissotto? Its not even real foccacia as expected in an italian Ristorante (must be store bought or frozen). Dont ask for lemon in your hot water or you'll be charged. I do better pizza at home!! The owner must have a hearing problem as the music was way too loud and when asked if it could be turned down a bit was told, No!

This is a quaint spot, really delicious food and super kind staff! This place is a magnificent little oasis amongst the industrial surroundings. Please come and support this place they’re busy for lunch and can use you supper for dinner. You will not be disappointed with all their home made pastas and desserts!

Arranged to meet a friend for lunch in what I thought might be a good restaurant. BIG MISTAKE! Service is horrible, food even worse, and unjustifiably over-priced!

Every time I’m in Toronto it's a pleasure for me to go to this restaurant. And, this last time (in August) meal was just superb!!! Homemade pasta that was perfectly cooked and just amazing. The crème brûlée was great. Delicious Caprese salad and a spectacular homemade bread to go with it. On top of all that, this restaurant has an impressive choice of very good wine from different places of the world. Tried a Russian Pinot noir this time; really a fantastic choice! Very fruity and tasty. I’m from south of France and this dinner reminds me of my best dinners in Italy ! Simple things but very well made, with high quality products. The skill of chef improves year after year and I’m already looking forward to my next visit to Il Tartufo ...

Been a number of years since visiting this wonderful Trattoria near the airport in Mississauga. Classy light colored decor and fine table coverings and excellent intimate bar lounge area. We were in the area and just stopped in with no reservation. Greeted professionally and friendly by Kim. Menu was varied and great meat specials. Salads were very fresh with pine nuts and goat cheese incredible taste. The Salmon was cooked to perfection and as well the Spaghetti Puttanesca with home made pasta and sauce was tasty with a hint of anchovies. Best I have had outside of Italy. Kim was attentive through the evening and also has a passion for the business. This is now our go to Italian restaurant in Mississauga Thank you and will return

We were here 5 years ago and it was amazing. Wow how things have changed. Grilled squid was $13.00 for 2 little pieces of soggy squid that had little to no taste. My wife ordered spaghetti puttanesca and it was crazy spicy. I had the linguini pescatori that was tasteless. Portions were adequate. Won't be back. Sorry

This is the first place that I've ever heard of that charges you for water. . . $6/bottle. They give you no other option and don't tell you that they charge for it either. They make it seem like soup/salad comes with the meal, which makes sense because of the pries of the entrée, but again, they charge you separately for that as well. I was surprised they didn't charge me for going to the bathroom. Service was okay considering we were the only ones in there, but the server made everything sound so confusing. The food was good, but not worth the price. You can get the same quality any where else for much cheaper. My first and last visit. Make sure you ask them what's included with your meal if you go here. . . or just don't go here.

Very good meal for lunch. Had a salad and bruscetta. All the other members of our group had different meals, pasta, lamb, pizza and fish. Will return there for sure!

My colleague and I went to the restaurant for lunch as we are not from the area but I had remembered that I had heard years ago that it was good. Well, not so good anymore. Our first tip off should have been that we were alone in the restaurant. I ordered the special which was supposed to be a linguini in an alfredo sauce with pancetta. Yikes! Someone should have told the chef what that was. I got linguini in olive oil and an egg which looked like it had been whisked into the olive oil with some dried favourless oregano. In it was some really thin meat that looked like diced up processed ham and was completely tasteless. No cream sauce, no cheese in sight and where was the panchetta. The linguini portion was the size of a fist and all of that for $20. Absolutely ridiculous. My colleague said that her tomato based pasta was completely uninspired and tasteless as well. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Wow and not in a good way! I dined at this restaurant about 7 years ago and recall it was a great dining experience with excellent service, professionally dressed staff and great food. I actually forgot about this place with all of the new restaurants popping up in Mississauga and decided to try it out again tonight with my husband, so I thought (we didn't actually try it). I suspect the restaurant ownership was different the first time I dined there (when it was good). Let me preface the rest of my commentary - if a restaurant is labelled as an upscale, fine dining restaurant then the service better not be an issue especially from the get-go. The female that greeted us at the door was miserable and wearing a chefs apron. It seemed like she was the cook, server and host, but I can't confirm that. The restaurant was pretty much empty except for a table of 2 and a table of 1. Perhaps times are tough for this resto but a smile and welcoming attitude would be appreciated. We were seated in a booth and my husband was asked what he'd like to drink. She left without asking me. Ok? She returned with his beverage then asked me what I wanted. I asked for herbal tea. Her response was "tell me what you want and I will tell you if I have it". I just stared at her in disbelief until words started to leave her mouth again. She continued with a frown "I have 20 kinds of tea, if you don't know then I will have to get a list for you". I replied, "yes, please do that". At this point we realized she wasn't concerned with offering proper service. We had a foul experience before we could even place an order and decided the place was not worth a single dime. So as she walked away to find that tea list, we asked her not to bother and told her that we are leaving. "Ok", she says. The End.

I was envited to lunch by a good friend, and I never refuse when I am trying a new place and best of all, they take the tab. I was early so I asked for seating next to a nice fireplace. There was also a flat screen television mounted on the wall with local news and weather. The waiter said the tables were reserved. I was not a regular, so take the table next to the door. The weather was cold and a snow storm was starting. The area was cold. I was not impressed. My friend finally came and we ordered some wine. They carried no half bottles. We took the house wine. There are some nice wines available in half bottles. With so much emphasis on drinking and driving you would think that restaurants would provide some quality wine in smaller bottles. Not impressed yet. The waiter started warming up and gave us the specials. We both had salads and talapia on the grill. This was really good. The service was good. We left after 2 pm. The table we wanted was still empty.

With two people in the whole restaurant I thought that was a red flag, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt as it was a Monday evening. Salad was good but pasta I ordered was not the best. It was definitely not al dente and and for something simple like noodles with grilled veg, should be a piece of cake, not so. Disappointed that an Italian restaurant does not have fresh parm. The wine list had some good selections but over all the waiter was not versed in the list nor the menu. Dessert consisted of vanilla ice cream with espresso poured overtop. My colleagues desserts were 'store bought'. Save your money.
