I visited almost 2 weeks before we had bad experiences with them because we order started after my family order something else. I asked them for thali and staff said no we cannot provide this time then I ordered something else but when I visited inside the restaurant and I saw some people eat thali’s when I asked to staff she said they are regular clients and know that is why we provided them . I said this is not fair with customers she said I cannot say anything about it.

What a great place to visit while fasting for Navratri! Great selection of flavour packed veggie options (the chili mushroom hakka dish is an amazing hidden gem), and meat options (based on the menu, and smells of uniquely flavoured foods being carried to other tables). The man who seemed like the owner of the restaurant was very kind and leads his staff well, as everyone is mannerly and attentive. Overall great meal, and I can't wait to go back for the meat dishes!

BEST. BUTTER CHICKEN. EVER. If you have not come here yet, you have to. The spice and cream paired with the rice taste so amazing it makes your day instantly better.

The atmosphere is so peaceful, the owner as well as staff are incredibly friendly and provide magnificent service.

Service is lacking. Requested their best chicken dish and was suggested the madras curry, it was mediocre at best. Requested a second choice & was served the BTL ( why it wasn’t recommended in the first place I’ll never know) it’s a better dish. Ordered naan to go as I had now 2 curries, and waited over 30 mins, only to find the server failed to order it). With so many choices in the area, & eating out is now so expensive, I think you can find other establishments that care about their customers. Dinner took 2 hours, and I came it to my vehicle only to find the 2 hours I paid for was up, and a ticket on my windshield 🫤

We stopped in after listening to various bands at the Southside Shuffle. We didn't know what to expect and were delightfully surprised. Our waitress Manu (I hope I spelled her name correctly), was wonderful, kind, soft-spoken, attentive and helpful. We also chatted with Dan, the owner, who was engaging and fun to chat with. We ordered a chicken biryani and a Kashmiri goat curry. Generous helpings of both dishes arrived and they were delicious. We are already planning on coming back with our family so we can order a larger variety of food to sample

Indian Cuisine by the Lake is truly a gem in Port Credit. Hands down, some of the best Indian food I have ever had in my life. Every single dish is bursting with authentic flavor, cooked to perfection, and presented beautifully – the attention to detail is 10/10. From the tender chicken dishes to the rich and flavorful lamb, and of course their signature sizzling fish, each bite feels like a new experience.

What really stands out is the consistency. We’ve been here four times now, and every visit not only meets but exceeds our expectations. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers this level of quality and care every single time, and they’ve mastered it.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about the customer’s dining experience. Danny, the owner, is always at the front of the house with his team, greeting guests with a smile and personally checking in on tables. That kind of dedication and hands-on approach makes a huge difference and sets this place apart from so many others.

Indian Cuisine by the Lake is the perfect example of how a restaurant should be run – exceptional food, top-notch service, consistency, and a true passion for hospitality. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is a must-visit.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant in the heart of Port Credit’s vibrant lakeshore. The food was outstanding with excellent taste and quality in every dish. The service was top-notch! friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Prices were very reasonable, especially given the generous portions and the overall quality. The location itself is lovely, right in the lively lakeshore area, which makes the atmosphere even more enjoyable. A true gem in Port Credit! Highly recommended!

Service was a bit slow. Water dripped on my head while dining. The venue could use air conditioning. The food was amazing. The rice was perfectly cooked. I had the butter goat curry., the flavours were great. I love the garlic Naan bread and the potato stuffed bread. The biryani had lamb added to it. The portions of food is amazing. Great value for what you pay for. I would highly recommend ordering delivery. On-house dining, not so much.
