Its hard to find some good flavor but this place was pretty decent. enjoyed my jerk chicken here

Listed as open but there is a sign on the door stating closed for this week as they are at the CNE. I thought the CNE last day was September 1st?

Regardless they inconvenienced me coming all the way here. They could have updated the hours to reflect the closure

**Owner responded doesn't want to take responsibility and is mentioning irrelevant things. The store was indicated as open on Google Maps when you could have updated it to closed. Take ownership and learn from this

I have no idea how this place isn’t all 5 stars. This is my absolute fave place to get jerk chicken in all of the GTA. I remember the first time I came in I told the employee behind the register ‘ hopefully, I’ll come back’ and with all confidence he said ‘ I KNOW you’ll be back’ and I have been ever since. I always get jerk chicken , half rice and half Mac and cheese and their delicious pepper sauce on the side 🌶️. Prior to trying this place I didn’t understand the hype behind jerk chicken and carribean food , now I do

Absolutely fantastic, I just had Thier jerk chicken from boots and hearts and it was delicious! Wish they where closer to where I'm from. I would eat here twice a week lol. Good job! Thank you for my meal!

Grabbed takeout from here recently. There's no air conditioning in the restaurant, so it was quite warm when we arrived there to order. We ordered the curry goat, oxtail, and a side of fried plantain. Good flavour and portions on all the dishes, but my only criticism was that there wasn't any gravy. Will have to come back to try the jerk chicken

Long wait for uber order even when restaurant isn't busy

I decided to try somewhere new & closer to my home versus one of my favourite places. And
A) Price was too high for the food I got.
B) Jerk chicken was not bad but not exceptional either. The chicken gravy they added was sweet. I didn’t like it at all.
C) Their Large containers are the size of a regular size elsewhere. So super small portions. Their small container is half the size of a regular and the size of a side container like 5x5 inches.
D) Atmosphere on a hot day, shitty. No A/C and shared space, nothing great about ambiance.
If they wana save on hydro and have ppl eat in their small space. They really should consider serving the same size portions as their competitors and same price too!
Rice and chicken is cheap nowadays to buy in bulk!
If you have no other place to go, check it out chicken was just okay (moist) but super small portions. Not worth the price of $17+
FYI: The first photo is the size of a regular elsewhere. Last pic shows all 3 containers and the smallest is their regular size
2nd photo is the jerk chicken from my favourite place (2 can eat) and the price is same as their small portion.
Would be worth it if the price and size of container matched other places! Just saying.

Solid place for some jerk chicken. I've had them a couple times at various festivals but not at the this restaurant location. They have had halal chicken there but would have to confirm at the restaurant. All in all very tasty and the chicken is cooked to perfection and seasoned well.

Food was great. Jerk chicken is probably underrated. Cooked really well. Oxtail isn't the sweet kind some may prefer. The place is shared with another restaurant but doesn't take away anything from the food obviously. Lady working takes tremendous care with each order so you may wait a bit for your food. However everything is worth the wait. Can't believe I've never heard of the place. Says it's been there since 2003. But maybe not that location. Either way I shall return to try the Mac and cheese!!

Order a large what a joke was small leg cut up and this place is over priced food for nothing don’t waste your money large should be at least two legs and small one leg not sure what foolish ting going but not returning here ever spend your money else where people better value up the street.
