We are trying to support local businesses during these difficult times. The food we ordered tonight was so bad that we threw away two of the four dishes we ordered. To be clear, they were so bad, we did not want to continue eating them and we threw them away. The veal sandwich had no sauce or cheese and the veal tasted like rubber. The bruschetta was a couple of pieces of un-toasted white bread with raw onion and tomato and nothing else. Truly, truly appalling. Such a waste of raw ingredients now sitting in my composter.

I raved about this place when it originally opened. Now, the veal sandwich was tasteless, and the once amazing fries are now a frozen type! No more combo prices...a veal sandwich and crappy fries was $17.74. Sooooo disappointed!!!

food tasted good but the mexican wrap barely had any meat.

I believe the restaurant was sold to new management. I went here over a year ago and the quality of the food is not the same. For example the veggie sandwich I ordered contained no Bri cheese, or roasted peppers as advertised on the menu. They ran out of arugula so instead I was offered iceberg lettuce. This would have been fine but the sandwich was missing the key ingredients which made it tasty in the first place. The onions were RAW and not roasted. Overall i'm very disappointed since the quality is not the same as it was before. I will not be ordering from here again. Sorry.

Very delicious food, everything is made fresh and tastes wonderful. My favorite dish is the Classic Burger which is very juicy and fillling!

Today I had the pleasure of dining at Kantene. After a brief period of being closed due to structural problems with the building, they are now re-opened. I heard their veal sandwich was very good, but I ordered the lamb burger. The lamb patty was juicy and flavourful. My patty was cooked medium, which I enjoy, but I'm certain they can cook it to your satisfaction if you ask. The toppings were fresh (standard lettuce and tomato, with some sautéed onions, a delicious aioli, and feta cheese that melted nicely) and the kaiser bun was soft--totally delicious. I now consider Kantene to be one of Mississauga's hidden gems and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys burgers and sandwiches.

So happy to see this restaurant open again, didn't think twice and ordered the veal sandwich. Still the best!

Today I finally had the pleasure of dining at Kantene. The restaurant was unfortunately shut for repairs for a brief time, but even a short amount of time can hurt a new business. After having lunch there, I encourage anyone in the area to give them a try. I ordered the lamb burger with fries. It was excellent. The burger was very juicy and flavourful. Mine was cooked medium, but if some pink bothers you I'm sure they can cook it to your liking. The burger was topped with crispy onions, lettuce, tomato, a wonderful aioli and feta cheese. The fries were also on point. The staff was very gracious and courteous. I highly recommend going.

Went there to try out the award winning veal sandwich and wasn't disappointed. A great twist on a classic sandwich. Definitely recommend checking this place out. ??

We were looking for a new place to try and a friend suggested Kantene based on a colleague's recommendation. There was some confusion upon entry as to how the ordering system works.. You must order at the counter, pay and then receive your food. We seemed to have caught them on the wrong day as there were a couple of items that they didn't have from the menu, one being the Cajun shrimp. We ended up ordering a veal sandwich, cucumber and tomato salad, beet salad and steak wrap. The salads were okay. Out of the two, the beet salad had a bit more taste than the other salad. The wrap lacked steak and was mostly vegetables and also lacked flavour. The veal sandwich wasn't the best either. It supposedly received an award for being so good.. Perhaps we came on a wrong day, but overall, there was nothing memorable about the food. It was really subpar for the price!

We were so excited to have a new joint open up close to us so imagine our disappointment when we ordered their burgers with onion rings and the burgers came still raw and cold inside, not to mention tasteless. And I was pregnant at the time so it was a bit of a scare. Clearly the meat was frozen and not fresh. Prices were above average too, so not reasonable. The onion rings were good but only 4 small per order. Will not miss it now that it's closed.

Has not been open in months. Why this is still a valid listing on google is beyond me.

The location is super cute! Simple, sandwhich shop with very friendly staff. The Chicken Mexican sandwhich was great. The chicken had great flavour and the ingredients seemed fresh!Overall a delightful visit. Will definitely be back!(If you order thr chicken sandwhich, ask for salsa on the side).

Came for the award winning veal. It's great. Doesn't beat my favorite, but pretty close. The parmigian crisp is a great touch.
