We've been buying their strawberry shortcake for decades and it never misses, everyone has a second and even a third slice. Given the occasion they dress up the cake very nicely. Amazing bakery, highly recommend.

I ordered a gluten free cake for my son's birthday in March. It was fresh, delicious and moist. Everyone enjoyed their slice and commented how delicious it was. They even put soccer rings on top of the cake with black icing on boarder of the cake to resemble a soccer ball. We all enjoyed the fresh delicious gluten free cake. I personally love La Sem and have been going for well over 30 years, since it was also a terrific restaurant! Their lemon Ice is THE BEST and we drive there from Waterdown every couple of months just to enjoy a double scoop! Sure, a bit pricey…but worth every cent and worth the drive too!! Yes!!…it IS that good!! 🤤

That place is no longer on my list. Usually, when I come in (dressed in a suit and driving a Mercedes), New Year’s Eve is my wife’s birthday, and I request a complex design, which they always make for me. However, yesterday, New Year’s Eve of 2026, I arrived in a truck with a dirty reflective vest from work. I simply asked for a simple touch on the cake. One of the ladies said yes, but the other one refused, saying I had to tell them in advance, which was before 9 a.m. yesterday. I was willing to pick it up before 5 p.m.
My experience that day was truly disappointing. It seemed like they only serve people who look and dress well and drive expensive cars. I usually order cakes over $180 8 to 12 times a year for myself and my family members, and I highly recommend this place to all my friends. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. The lady who offered me the flower decorations refused to do the design or touch I requested, even though my five-year-old child could do it easily.
