Leguan’s Cobourg location was an absolute delight to visit. The service is friendly and fast. They have a great variety of offerings and the portions are huge. The sandwiches were seasoned to perfection and the toppings meshed well to create an explosion of flavour. The Cajun fries and poutine were also delicious. In comparison to the other food truck offerings on the beach, Leguan beats them in every category. We will certainly be sure to visit when we are back in the area.

Very busy spot being at the Cobourg beach. I was excited to try since as I’ve seen such good reviews. First off, be prepared to wait 30-50 minutes on a busy day from time of waiting to order to receiving food. Busy is good, and well worth it if the food is good. Unfortunately I feel it didn’t live up to my expectations. I got the son of a clucker and cheese fries. The chicken was super over fried to where it gets that almost burnt oil taste but all of the other flavours were great. I’m sure being that busy they’re bound to make mistakes and I’m not writing them off and would try again although I wouldn’t order the cheese fries again, it’s just the basic cheese sauce you would imagine, nothing special - although still good if that’s what you’re looking for. They did apologize for the wait which is nice as they realize the hefty wait time and I’m sure they’re working as hard and fast as they can. With that being said my meal was almost $40 with 15% tip which is very expensive for chip truck food but the portions are large, keep that in mind when ordering or best to go with friends and share fries etc. I almost got the mother clucker which is double the son of a clucker and I could barely fit this one in my mouth lol! Only reason for 3 stars is wait time & over cooked chicken. They’re also halal! I believe it’s their first year in business so they will only get better with time!

Customer service is 10/10 you gotta check it out. Such a great location right beside the water, it’s a perfect beach day meal ?
